Not too bad. Although, I think one of these times, he's gonna bite off more than he can chew.

The main guy Zack does seen like he is to not much of a team player and also to high strung to be in the paranormal field.

they lost me the minute I saw the Ouiji board. Giving people the wrong message about those things. They may get the idea that they are safe to use since "ghost hunters" us them. I won't watch again.

I am with Trinity. The ouija board lost me too, it is not something to play with, and can get people hurt.

It was an interesting thing to watch, but they blew themselves out of the spirit pool by not having any spirit hunting protocols or behavior.

When they ran screaming from the room like little girls, I wanted to punish them. I am a girl, and I do not run screaming like that. The guys do not seem cut out for it as they are too high strung, and they yell at each other on camera.
not cool. It was almost likea DO NOT BE LIKE THIS VIDEO LESSON.

Gosh! I watched the whole 1 hour show and never saw them use a Ouija board. I wonder if I was watching the same show on the Travel Channel that y'all were. I liked the show I watched and will continue watching. I don't think that running away from something scary is okay as long as it isn't on camera. I think it's just natural instinct to run, and these guys will admit they're amateurs.

I kinda like the show. It was funny as heck. As Bimmy said, they have no protocol whatsoever which gives show a unique twist... you never know what's gonna happen or how they will react to it! I did like that they brought experts in to examine the footage. And the footage they got was awesome!!!! I don't know about getting locked in to a place though, that's really brave of them....about the only brave thing they did Laughing . I'll definitely watch it again.

I have placed this link to the Newest Ghost Adventures show from Oct 17 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdohO3xDjbk I myself thought I saw the Ouija segment but look for a few minutes and could not find it.It may have been on the two hour pilot show that came on first. It is also on youtube.I loved the part at the end of the investagation where they were waiting at the back door to be releasted. On the first show they were locked in the Goldfield Hotel and in stead of waiting to be let out the next morning they jumped from a second story window. As for as them being scared,My next door neighbor and I were at a small family cemetery down the road from my house one night and HE nearly knock the door off of his truck trying to drive away from a screech owl because as he was driving away he didn't close the door first.

Many people are confusing the premier episode with the two hour movie they made originally for Sci-Fi. Travel Channel now has it has showed it before the premier episode.

I watched the show and enjoyed it as pure entertainment but am not impressed. Their lack of protocol would seem like something people would assume I would love but it is not. Yhey are just three guys who are hoping to catch some proof on video and are willing to risk a lot more than many of us. Now that is not a bad thing but in the end since what they want is only on video it will always be questions by many in the field and in the scientific community since it can be falsified quite easily… I still enjoyed watching the host trying to piss off the spirits of the criminals with all his harsh talk till he was left alone and then started acting like a little boy… Hehe I hope this show makes it though since it will make for some fun when you have nothing better to do on weekend evening.

I couldn't quite put my finger on it. It's a redneck "Most Haunted"...

What I mean is, the provoking and then running and screaming.
Also, the whole show being filled with evidence and experience. It's like every investigation they do is utterly amazing! Wink Just the same as most haunted.

I find Zack pretty irritating, and don't like the team's lack of protocol.

That being said, I have to say, I actually enjoy the show. Some of the locations are really interesting. I enjoyed the one last night about the Houghton Mansion and also the one about the C&W Bar in Kentucky.

It's about as bad as Ghost Lab.
If you keep in mind that it is an adventure show and not a scientific investigation show, then it can be pretty entertaining - with the exception of the annoying 'talent' that is always hogging the camera. As long as they don't claim to be legitimate paranormal investigators, then what they do is kosher. It's more Halloween than Science, but still pretty fun.

I know what you mean. At least they don't have a large film crew,Producers,Directors and everything else around them while on an investigation. Last years TAPS Halloween show has made me think and wonder if they are not legitimate paranormal group after all. It seems to me they have started pandering to what the production company wants to see. Now we have Extreme Paranormal and Ghost Lab. I wouldn't buy a used car from any of those guys.

i dont like the show, i wish i could go in a place and have like 52 evps, it seems that every sound is an evp. i think the other night it was a frog and they said it was a growl. on a differnt note, i had the chance to meet and talk with jay and grant last month. jay said he wished syfy would show the ones where nothing happens , he said 85% of investigations can be debunked. also got to talk to dustin and joe from ghi. i hope the tv thing never makes them sell out.

i watched the reveal from the halloween show, and they came out and said the guy threw the emf meter, i was very impressed that they didn't sway the way of the liar. so i do think they do a lot for entertainment, but i think when it comes down to it, they are real and would tell if they or whowever is faking it. Smile

After watching their Halloween special I have concluded that Zak is a dork. It's hard to watch the show with his ego in the way. How do they actually hear anything paranormal when he is the one talking all the time? Rolling Eyes
Even so, I must admit it's better than some of the other stinkers that come on.

What makes Ghost Adventures better than any of the other shows out there is the whole show is about one location and the viewer is given a good bit of information about the location. Ghost Hunters spends too much time talking and doesn't shoe much of the investigation. The evidence the GA team captures is pretty impressive. I have not seen any other team illicit some of the responses that this team has. I will continue to be an avid follower!

I agree that it's not one of the better shows. I can see how it would appeal to teens and people who really don't investigate with any discipline -- it's more like a spooky haunted house show that's filmed just for fun. As far as any real investigating goes I think they are pretty hokey and unprofessional. Considering they have had to admit that some of their stuff has been staged - it's really hard to believe anything they present could be real. Establishing fact and/or using science is a bit more involved that getting a recording of something scary. They are not for real and quite obviously steer their show towards those people who want to just be entertained rather than the serious hunter trying to make progress.

What has been staged? I haven't come across anything stating they've staged anything. Please let me know. I don't want to waste my time watching if they are faking anything. Please, let me know. TIA

WOW! A simple search for Ghost Hunters Faked will reveal a lot! I never really liked that show much. Now, it's sister show, Ghost Hunters International, is awesome. Luckily, I couldn't find anything where they've faked evidence. Same for Ghost Adventures.
