Hay E, been tied up for a day or so, stuff, you know.
Your ghost is interesting. The wise elder sort of quality sounds comforting. Do you know any history about the place you are living? Who lived there before? Any deaths of former owners? Etc It seems sometimes with activity there is a clear historical line and sometimes there just is not. And I still think the digital voice recorder, asking questions and seeing if you get answers is an easy route for contact. The level of activity you describe I do not know if you will get EVPs or not. The old school one knock for yes two for no is also a way.
You know considering your belief system did you ever consider this presence is a relative who has attached themselves to you and your family. And Angels might also fit for you all of which might not show up on EVPs and comes under more religious and spiritual beliefs. I do think belief systems, needs and desires can produce phenomina. And what that means who knows.
At my place, my child is 17, mature and independent. This time next year deep into college. I have more free time but after looking now for over a year have not been able to find a group with consistent stable pursuits. Have not given up still looking. _________________ I can feel the night beginning, separate me from the living.

Friend I too live in a house and it is haunted. That's my reasoning for staying here. No better place to study the paranormal. As far as making contact with the spirit, it's alway's been my belief that the Ouija Board is more of a tool that could possibly be an opening of a portal, to whereas a K-2 meter is just a way to try to communicate with what's already there. I use a K-2, along with my recorders and even decided to try a Ghostbox. And seems I've had some success with it. It's inexpensive and very easy to modify.

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
