HISTORICAL DESCRIPTION OF LOCATION (include reported phenomena:
This is an old dilapidated cemetery off of Whiteville Road in Marietta Georgia. Details on how and why it got the nickname “devils turn-a-round” are not known. Persons have reported items being thrown at them by unseen forces here. Many people have reported venturing into the cemetery only to return with scratch marks. In some instances bruises have been noted and puncture wounds that have been described as “fang marks”. Religious items such as crosses are said to “antagonize” activity here.
INVESTIGATION RESULTS (ACTIVITY OBSERVED AND MEASURED) AND CONCLUSION
The team of three entered the cemetery at approximately 11:20PM We stopped near the front to ready our equipment, change batteries and figure out our investigation plan.
Pete and Patrick decided to leave a pair of DVRs near the front of the cemetery. A red brick was found on the ground and determined to be a good “table” to place them on. Both DVRs record buttons were depressed simultaneously in an attempt to roughly synchronize both recording sessions. The DVRs were put in place and the team continued to venture further back into the cemetery.
On a recent day trip to get directions and photos of the cemetery, Patrick noted several graves that appeared to have been at least partially exhumed. Closer inspection of several of these graves and the steep vertical sides seemed to support this theory – that the excavation (on at least two or three graves) was the work of a shovel and not due to natural sinking and settling of the earth that many non-reinforced graves in older cemeteries exhibit. At one point, Patrick tripped into one of these deep graves. His leg sunk in upto at least the kneecap, and he noted that he did not touch bottom as it was filled full of sticks, leaves and pine needles. He indicated the grave was probably 2 feet deep – again pointing away from natural settling.
It is worth noting that no thorn bushes of any type could be found in the areas this team observed. The cemetery was indeed overgrown with tall weeds, and we actively searched for any thorny branches that could potentially be the source of the reported scratch marks. We could find none.
The group concentrated in this area for approximately the next 20 to 30 minutes. Pete set up his camera and tripod assembly and took a series of photos. Patrick placed his trifield natural meter on the ground. During this time, Patrick was also recording with his 2’nd DVR (which he monitored live with headphones), and Michelle observed the surrounding parameter her DVR and the Sony nightshot video camera.
Patrick began to ask a series of questions out loud; pausing 10 to 30 seconds between each for an answer. In between a series of questions, the party continued to speculate on the apparently exhumed graves. Patrick then verbally stated “that’s a good question to ask... have any of the graves here been exhumed illegally?” Not more than a half second later, a very sharp metallic “ping” sound was heard by both Patrick and Pete. It was also recorded on the DM-20 DVR Patrick was holding. It appeared to have come from about 40 to 50 feet behind where they had been standing. Both described the sound as a strike against a small metal cylinder, or similar to the sound an aluminum baseball bat would make if it struck a small pebble. Michelle was not in the immediate area and did not report hearing this sound. The team promptly went to investigate the source of the sound but could find no metallic objects in the area that could have made it.
A few minutes later, the batteries in Patricks DVR were completely drained. He had put brand new batteries into the DVR at the onset of the investigation. The batteries did not even register “low” when they were removed and replaced. Another set of “older” used batteries did show a “low battery” message. Approximately 3 minutes later, the Trifeld meter registered a spike around 4 to 5 milligaus.
All three investigators reported seeing unusual shadows through out the course of the investigation. Patrick noted “orbs” he observed with his naked eyes on at least 3 occasions.
While the team was concluding their investigation and preparing to walk back to the front of the cemetery, another metal sound - this one sounding like a metal gate swinging shut – was heard towards the front of the cemetery. All three investigators heard this sound. There is no gate to the cemetery, however other investigators have reported there is a metal windmill in the yard of the abandoned house across the street. This could have cause this sound, but it seemed unusually loud, and the team did not note this sound at any other time during the investigation.
Review of the 2 DVRs left on the brick near the front of the cemetery yielded some unusual sounds. At 41:50 into recording, the RCA 5010 recorded a bizarre burst of distortion, followed by an audible “frequency sweep”, and then returned to normal. This lasted approximately 5 to 6 seconds. The 2’nd DVR – “Irock! 150VM” did not experience the same anomaly, but did register a strange sound around the same time. At 57:15 into the recordings, both DVRs recorded what appears to be the sound of footsteps walking thru the leaves and brush. This continued for several seconds and then abruptly stopped. Initially it was thought to possibly have been an animal, however the footsteps appear to be relatively close to the DVRs, and are not heard approaching nor trailing off. They abruptly start and stop. With the amount of leaves and brush in the area, it would have been virtually impossible for a person or animal to “sneak up” on the DVRs, walk several steps and then “sneak away” undetected.
No scratch marks were noted by any of the three investigators on this outting.
Please note this is a preliminary report. I’ll be appending this with other details as footage is still being reviewed. I’ll also be posting the audio clips in question from this investigation soon. And of course I’d like to invite my co investigators Pete and Michelle to comment as well.[/i] _________________ Patrick Burns

geek-what a very well done report on the events of the night you hunted there. The new form sounds great to fill out,I think it will be a great reference for us even when looking back at the hunts in the future
You spent a great amount on time on this, and its appreciated! I know your busy with a family - so your efforts on the site is much more appreciated than you know _________________ Heidi

Youre right on with that report geek, very well done and was a great pleasure to finally hunt with you. THe only thing i can possibly add to that is i posted 3 pics of this investigation in the picture section of ghosthounds i think 2 are in the light rods section and one is in the orb section. they are well labeled so they shouldnt be hard to find. I thought i captured one evp but turned out to be geek, but i got a ton of odd sounds and one that really grabbed my attention was the god awful ear peircing frequency spike almost like static when a tv goes to white noise mode then shrotly after was a weird hard to describe noise but if i would try to describe it i would say it sounded like a digital turkey noise lol. very strange, im sure geek can vouch for that lol.
I never once got an uneasy feeling as reported at this cemetary though at times when i was in the back of the group taking pictures i would feel as if someone was right behind me. The graves in this cem are very odd in the layout itself and i know i counted atleast 7 graves that were either sunk in or exhumed but we cant prove that.
Cant wait to check it out again and had lots of fun babs and geek. Gotta do it again real soon!

Just a thought, but when photos, EVP, and Video are added to the site from a recorded investigation, should we make it standard practice for the original poster to edit the investigation post to add a link to each?
That would make finding the evidence from a record much easier for the reader. _________________ Based on the condition that you are incapable of moving at a high velocity with large animals of the canine species, then you shall be required to remain in a location that is in the general vicinity of the front door of your domicile.
keep in mind to view paranormal pictures from night shots you should get your brightness and or gamma levels set high to view these pictures to see the whole anomaly. these are the 2 pics i got a DT.
