Okay, I'm really frustrated and disappointed. Why? I think the equipment we use is grossly inadequate for proper ghost hunting. What makes me even more frustrated is that I lack the resources (green stuff) to properly pursue in making new equipment.

The fact of the matter is, is that all the items we use were initially made for a different purpose.

I want equipment that is on the next level, and I have ideas.

What is wrong with our current tech? They are only one or two dimensional. We live in a three dimensional world.

EMF meters are really one dimensional. They give you a reading on where they are at. You have to move them around and get multiple readings. I know that probably getting a EMF 2D picture might be too high of an order.

Sound recordings are also one dimensional, but I think it would be easier to improve on this technology.
1: Sound direction can be determined with a second mike, but how far it originated is difficult.
2: The distance can be extrapolated if a third mike is used.

Why bother? Well I'm getting tired of seeing...
"Did you hear that?"
"What was that?"
"Where did it come from?"

Getting to pinpoint the origin of a sound source can be extremely useful. You can find out what chair fell down. Or maybe locate that little speaker that is telling you "get out".

There are other pieces of information that would be useful, especially when the information was used for post investigation analysis.

I suppose this device could be set in the center of an area... It could send out a radar pulse of sorts, to get and idea of the shape of the room/area. This way, when a sound occurs, it could pin point the location of the sound.

Anyway... I'm just going back to my corner and sulk some more.

Cheers!
