One of the many sightings occur in either, the corner of the eye, or in far distances.
One explanation I have heard, is the cones & cylinders. (I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about) Something else occurs to me. When you see something in the corner of your eye, you are actually only seeing with one eye. When you look at it with both eyes, it tends to disappear.
I propose a theory as to that not only is it the C&C, but rather the one dimensional aspect of the one eye. Something that we find images in pictures is the fact that cameras have "one eye"
Also, similarly, something viewed in a long distance, the advantages of having two eyes are strongly diminished due to... well the distance. At far distances, we are more or less viewing the event with essentially a "one eye."
We have two eyes, cameras have one.
I think there is a need for stereo photo cameras. If you have two cameras, looking in the same direction... and if one looks like it has an entity, shadow, etc. Would it look the same or different from a different camera, next to it?
Would the "ghost" show up or not?
I think having two cameras could in theory be used to generate an actual 3D image of the paranormal entity in question. Something that currently isn't being done to my knowledge.

That would be interesting to test if any one will ever make those types of cameras! I'd love the 3D one, but I assume that you'd have to wear those glasses to see the prints.

I started working with a matched set of inexpensive digital cameras to create a stereo image as you described about 4 years ago. However my reasoning was a bit different than your theory.
I'm still working on this technique and will publish a report soon!
But yes - stereo cameras and lenses DO exist to create 3D images as you described. As Casperette indicated, it requires special viewing apparatus to see them however. _________________ Patrick Burns

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
