DATE AND TIME: October 12th 1900- 2300 (7pm to 11pm)
UNIT(s): Ghost Hounds/ Ghost Trolls
OPERATION ORDER: 07-12-1
REFERENCES: Basic Para guides and Group procedures.
TIME ZONE: Eastern Time
SITE: Springvale Park, Atlanta Georgia; on the cross roads of Elizabeth Street and Euclid Avenue in Inman / Candler Park. Park hours: Closed from 11pm till 6am.
SITUATION: Park is in a known Civil War encounter area; story has it that after the war @ 3000 soldiers, both North and South were buried in various areas around the Inman / Candler Park area. After the war ended the bodies were exhumed and transported to various cemeteries for proper burial. The total count came up @300 bodies short, so they are presumed to still be buried within the Inman / Candler Park area. Some even hint that they might be the source of paranormal activities in the area. At least one house bordering the park has had activity witnessed within.
MISSION: This will be a cold reading; we will be investigating the park and surrounding area for any signs of the paranormal, using scientific methods.
EXECUTION INTENT: Walking scan of the park area with EMF detectors, log and map any anomalies, also using Audio Recording Devices to acquire EVP’s, while conducting EMF sweeps. Photos and Video, Infrared and regular, to be taken at random or near high activity zones as time permits.
LOCATION LOGISTICS:
HAZARDS: Pond in middle of park, limited visibility, insects, animals (people bring dogs here), human element (remember not every person has good intentions).

Batteries lots and lots of batteries for your equipment
SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT:

Ok this is the After Actoin Report from the investigation, not a full one with all participants, some had to go out of town unexpantantly.
After Action Review
Training/exercise title: 07-12-01 Springvale Park Video changed to 07 11 01 due to date change.
Event: Cold/ Initial Investigation
Date/time: October 11, 2007: @1900-2300
Location: Springvale Park, Atlanta Georgia; on the cross roads of Elizabeth Street and Euclid Avenue in Inman / Candler Park.
Observation: (Occurrences that were logged as they happened)
@ 1900 started investigation in two groups of three, each group had: 1 digital audio, 1 digital still camera, 1 video/ camcorder, one sensitive with dousing rods in second group.
Each group canvassed a side of the southern side of the park (the most used area with a playground for children and a pond), Group One (Curt, Kim, and Mike) canvassed clock-wise from the southern entrance, Group Two (Bryan, Amy and Jason) canvassed counter-clock-wise from the southern entrance.
Noted incidents on Southern Side of Park:
@1915 Curt had a power drain in camcorder, went from 114 minutes (full power up) then to 26 minutes then @ 10 minutes later it dropped to 15 minutes, all this in the location of the southern entrance near the small bridge. After continuing clock-wise around the park the power meter in the camcorder returned up to 25 minutes of power.
@1940 Mike, using digital still camera, was taking pictures near the small bridge at the southern entrance and photographed an anomaly at the bridge (awaiting photograph)
At the start of the investigation, we noticed a sing-sing melody on each digital audio recorder. (File to be added asap).
Discussion:
Group One Video – labeled: 07 11 01
- Part 1 @ 1:48 Left - is that a bat or a bug or something else zipping across the bottom of the screen? Determined to be a bug.
- Part 2 @ 3:12 Left - what is that strange pointy thing? That was just a broken twig with the leaves forming almost a triangle point; I remember zooming in on this because it lighted up differently.
- Part 3 @ 0:58 Left - at this point you seem to be going past a thing which seems darker than anything else there, and either looks like something unnatural, or possibly a man standing there. Ok I ran an invert of the video to try to see what it was, it’s the power pole with the boxes on it the gray paint under the Nightshot makes it look unnaturally dark.
Conclusions:
Seem to have some activity worth looking into with a deeper more focused investigation.
- Power Drains
- EVPs (singing)
Recommendations:
- Since it was an outdoor setting needed a ready recharge point for rechargeable devices; i.e. camcorders, lights etc.
- Download a copy of additional evidence from other team members.
- Will try to recreate Singing on second investigation
- Set up a static video for the area in question (site where evp took place, and area that felt odd) _________________ If your not behind our Troops, please feel free to stand infront of them.
The background noise in this clip is up for debate. It sounds like a woman humming or singing, but there are so many external/extraneous sources of noise out there that there's no telling where it came from.

I reviewed the clip many times, both with and without headphones, and there is a distinct, but subtle sound of what seems to sound like a child or woman humming. I even played the clip for my husband , without telling him there was anything there, to see waht he thought. He asked me if there was a child there that night, becuase he believes he too heard a low, subtle humming noise. Whether it was or not, I believe you guys found a good catch. Good job.

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
