I would like to open this one up to discussion. Those of us who were on the investigation are at a loss for what could have caused this particular anomaly, but we would like others to offer their opinion. I am posting the picture that was taken before and after the picture in question so everyone can see that the weather was clear. If the camera malfunctioned, it was only on this one picture, because the investigator who took this picture took over 100 that day and this is the only one that looks like this. Please give me any input you might have!

At first........I thought this looked like a pic of the clouds with the light angle shining perfectly across the lens showing the striations of the last lens cleaning. BUT, I kidnapped the pic in question (hope that's ok Justaseck) and played with it in my photo software.
Using the "auto levels correct" feature, this is what I get:
It has the same color hues as the tree pic before it. I can also make out the trees and some sky. I think this is another tree pic with some camera movement. The criss-cross of the movement is puzzling to me.....does the person who took the pic remember cleaning the lens before this frame?

Can you send me the orginal photos to look at? The photo says it was taken with a Sony DSC-H2 which should be able to take a 2816 x 2112 picture. So wanted to see if that was correct also? These photos are saying 640x480. Didn't know if the camera settings are low or if these were compressed while uploading?
Just at first glance I seen sky/clouds also. It also looks like clothing very close to the camera with the straight crossed lines. It's almost like I can make a image out through it, but really hopeing there is a higher resolution verion.
Right now, just first impressions, Clouds in sky, Mist, Cothing, Peep shot of a Ghostly Girl in a Night Gown floating in from of the Camera.

Of course that's OK, Denise. Thanks for working on it for me. NO, the lens did not get cleaned right before the picture. She says she didn't clean her lens at all that day.
Jesse, I compressed the photo when I uploaded it to Photobucket, so I would be happy to send you the original version. _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!

Orginal didn't help me any. One the right, I can kind of match a tree and tree trunk, but hard to say if it's to the same tree in the other picture. How many people were there? Did anyone have on a shirt with the long flowing sleeves? Still just looks like a thin fabric distoring the view. Did you have the full set of photos on photobucket and any pictures of the other people there?
I just envision a girl with a long flowing sleeved shirt going to point at something and blocking the camera and the person continues snapping the photo while trying to look at what they are pointing at, not noticing the fabric in the way. Otherwise pretty much at a loss.
I know if I was there. I would be like OH look at that! Oh and look at that! I guess Florida swamps have it's own charm though.

I have a couple of photos that look very similar to this, both were caused by a piece of fabric falling in front of the lens. I know this because the second photo was my attempt to reproduce the effect. _________________ Based on the condition that you are incapable of moving at a high velocity with large animals of the canine species, then you shall be required to remain in a location that is in the general vicinity of the front door of your domicile.

I agree it looks like really filmy fabric. However, the 4 of us were all wearing sweatshirts, sweaters and/or coats. I am pretty sure that none of those fabrics would be see-through enough.
Wacky, what kind of fabric caused your picture? Maybe that will help me narrow it down. I will also collect pictures of each of us from that day. We weren't really taking pics of each other, but I think we each ended up in at least one. _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!

The fabric that caused this was my ex wives blouse. It is a kind of semi gauzy fabric. a little firmer than a gauze but only a little.
Sorry you caught me in an area I know very little about... Fabric. Well unless of course we are talking about space flight qualified fabrics. _________________ Based on the condition that you are incapable of moving at a high velocity with large animals of the canine species, then you shall be required to remain in a location that is in the general vicinity of the front door of your domicile.

Interesting photo!
Someone who looked at this version said she sees a bunch of people in monks robes. I see it now too. What a weird picture! _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!

I seen that too, I just thought people not monks, and the bright light on the left is like a angel or something. But I also ran it through some other filters, and I can make out deamon faces. But then again, There's a face on the moon too.
Fabric was my first thought as well, especially with the 3 threads that aren't straight that show up when you zoom the picture (I borrowed it, too, justaseck). Was anyone wearing a scarf that day? I think (correct me if I'm wrong someone) that camera movement wouldn't necessarily yield the diaganol markings, although I don't know enough to say for certain. I can say that there are definitely the shapes of tree trunks there, behind the markings, so it looks as if your friend was aiming at the woods on this one as well.

Well, I have looked at all of our pictures from that day. We were all wearing fitted, opaque clothing. I think it looks like fabric, too, but it isn't fabric that any one of us was wearing. That makes it even stranger, don't you think?
My friend was aiming at the woods. The gravestones at the cemetery we were in are scattered throughout these woods. When we went back later that night, after dark, this is approximately the location where we were all completely freaked out, like something was watching us. My other friend heard a male voice and we caught it on tape.
I'm not saying that means this picture is "paranormal", but it sure is different!
Thanks, you guys, for all your input on this one! _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!
