On a recent outing to a cemetery, I picked up what sound like a flute being played. Check out the video link: http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&VideoID=19093443

That was kind of interesting. I wonder if it was someone's cell phone beeping or ringing. I think you were asking if it was someone's cell phone near the end there. When you asked "Can you do it again?" I heard what sounded like a "no". It was rather scratchy, and very deep, very low. Sounded like someone who has a sore throat.

I was sitting in the car, about 50 feet away from him, with the windows rolled up. I had gotten cold and didn't want to be in outside anymore. i made an outbound phone call. My phone is always on vibrate.

This sounds like a car horn in the distance to me. Like maybe someone pulled up in a driveway to pick someone up. Approximately 20 seconds later, a car does drive by in the background. I wasn't there though and don't know the surrounding area.........

GaGal, I know what you mean about getting cold and opting to sit in the car. I thought I was going to freeze last night just walking from the theatre to the car with my hubby! Ah....this Georgia weather. Very Happy

I was kind of leaning towords a horn too, but thought maybe a airhorn from a semi? Very hard to tell distance/direction from the video though. I hear a metal horn sound, but don't here a flute sound.

I was thinking car horn too...more in the distance. But it's only a guess, of course.

compressing the video to fit on myspace added a little distortion. The DVR version is much better. I don't know where I can post the recording though. Sad

Try mediafire.com people would have to download it, but you can upload unlimited files upto 100meg each(don't even have to make an account, unless you want to keep track of your files), Also I'm not sure, but didn't look like Photobucket compressed the video, but not 100% sure on that.

Your Welcome. It's a pretty cool and easy site to use.

Still up in the air on it. It could be a horn that is echoing, but now I can here the "flute" a little better. But sounds like a bad flute player. Smile

What you could do, is get setup in the graveyard again. Count how long it took that car to drive by after the noise. Try to guess how fast the car was driving. Subtract the time it would take to get in and out of the car, and then drive down the road and honk the horn twice. Smile or just randomly drive down the road honking the horn every 1/10 of a mile. Smile

I don't really think that's a flute. To me it kind of sounds like a couple of notes on a electronic piano keyboard. I could be wrong though.

My first thought was that it was a cellphone .. but the car theory does have some validity.

There are 2 very distinct possibilities on this one.

First I noticed that the wind was blowing a bit. This can cause all maner of items to hoot and whistle, anything from a bottle on the ground to the eaves of a house.

The second is that this sounds almost identical to the train whistles I hear at night when the late train pulls out every night. The track is roughly 2 miles from where I live.

I am leaning towards normal causes not paranormal.

We went back this past weekend, and were able to get a train whistle on audio. Greg has to post it so we can hear the difference.
