It occurred to me earlier this week that before I really knew any other empaths, I learned to shield and ground myself from reading Mercedes Lackey's books. Do any of you have unusual sources of information that have been useful to you like that?
Also, do any of you have suggestions for practical books that might help me learn more about using my empathic abilities? I've learned a lot, but I still have a lot more to learn.

Empathy is what we all have and only a select few really know how to use..my teacher told me that!
Books on G and P and Empathy ( I'm a poet and didnt know it! )
Anything by Doreen Virtue..I reccomend Earth Angels and the Lightworkers way.
There are some really good books out there.
Cassandra Easons, A complete guide to psychic development is a much loved book of mine..but it does have a lot of majical work and a wiccan background, but its not hard core and is very user friendly.
Re, G and P you dont have to go by the book ...the more you pratice the better you will be at creating your own version that works for you...the cloak and the tube of mirrors filled with light are my personal faves.
Experiment and have fun with it..
As for learning,,,,we are all learning..and even teachers have to carry on learning...its our path....! Thing to remember keep it light keep it fun and keep yourself grounded!
