Last night we had a productive hunt back at old lawrenceville cemetery. My family and I met patrick and I got some good pics I will try to post soon. Even saw : something : vanish
also went by the jail and city cemetery. It was an interesting evening and I look forward to more hunts and meeting/hunting with more ghost hounds!!
Heather even got pelted in the head with a pebble. Not sure what to think of that, but she has a little bity knot!! Has this happened to any other hounds?? :
I very much want to hunt the confederate cemetery at stone mtn. I bet that is one active place _________________ Heidi

That's the first I've heard of an actual stone throw. And from what I've heard the golden nuggets (ks) are the worst pain in the world. Good luck to Skip!

Hey everyone...
Sorry about the belated post on this, but I have an interesting tidbit to add to this story!
First off, let me say I immensely enjoy working with Skip, Heidi and Heather. We get results every time we go out, and I'm looking forward to our next hunt!
Now then, as Heidi stated, she, Heather and I saw what appeared to be a bicycle zip past us on the road. It went behind a few bushes and grave markers and we never saw it again. this thing just VANISHED and 3 of us witnessed it.
Well, there is a VERY interesting anecdote I must append to this story! Last September 2003, I witnessed a similar vanishing act in the same exact spot! The following is my post to our old Yahoo! Group recollecting the event the day after it happened...
Wow…
OK first off, I broke or PARTIALLY broke my ghost hunters code of conduct last night and went on a solo ghost hunt. I do not recommend people do this for no reason other than safety concerns – if you get hurt, no one is there to go for help. However I informed my wife of where I was going, when I should be back AND I had my cell phone on me. Besides, I am very familiar with the area I went to, having done literally dozens of hunts there in the past, though this was the first time I ever went alone.
With that said, I purchased a digital voice recorder last weekend for Dragon*Con. I was really chomping on the bit – wanting to get out and take it for a spin on a hunt. I was feeling particularly bold last night, so I decided to drive on over to Old Lawrenceville Cemetery and see if I could get any results alone.
So I get there and set up the recorder and my Trifield meter that can detect feeble changes in the magnetic and electric fields. I set my gear down and I'm VERY calm. I don't feel ANYTHING - which I find unusual considering I'm in the middle of a cemetery by myself in the middle of the night! It’s unusually peaceful and serene.
I start asking the usual questions "Is there anyone here? How long have you been here? WHY are you still here? Do you want to talk to me? Can you give me a sign that you are here?" About 30 minutes pass and I don’t feel anything at all. I start to wonder if Old Lawrenceville has become devoid of activity, because the last time we were out there we didn’t get anything either. I take a few pictures and keep looking around. I don’t see anything, just keep asking questions about every 30 seconds or so.
Then suddenly the Trifield meter squawks at me very briefly.
I think to myself “OK – interesting” It hasn't made a sound all night and it wasn't me moving that did it either. I’m about 5 feet away from it, and I tried moving my arms around wildly to see if it was myself that caused it. The meter makes no sound – I literally have to have my hand less than a foot away before it registers my presence. But just to be safe, I scoot away from the meter about 5 more feet.
After about 2 minutes it squawks again, and at the same time some neighborhood dogs several blocks away start barking for no apparent reason.
At this time, I look up and notice someone walking along the street that runs parallel to the cemetery.
I stand and then crouch down so as not to be noticed, thinking it is a local person maybe walking home from a bar – we have seen people in the past strolling home along this street. My eyesight is poor and I don’t have my glasses, so I can’t really make out any facial features, but it appears to be a woman with long hair in a white dress. She is walking at a normal to medium fast pace and it kind of looks like she is glancing over into the emetery toward me every now and then. Then back in front of her then back in the cemetery etc… I don’t move nor do I take a picture out of fear she will run home and call the police. I keep watching her while squatting down and she finally disappears behind the trees at the border of the cemetery
Then about 10 seconds later I see her AGAIN - walking the opposite direction. She is walking back down the road, same pace. I never hear footsteps or a shoe scuff the ground, which is odd considering the pace she is strolling at. Then just before I lose sight of her behind another tree walking the other way, I see what looks like a shawl or hair blow behind her back, which I find to be odd because there is absolutely no wind tonight.
Then she disappears out of site behind some trees. There is a streetlight at the other end of the road next to the cemetery in the direction she is walking in. I figure I should see her clearly in a few seconds as she emerges from behind the trees and bushes and gets right under the streetlight.
I never see her again.
I noticed that as she walked back down the road, it sort of looked like she didn't follow the road... like she was IN the cemetery when I lost site of her. Considering there is a wide and deep ditch is there, she couldn't have done that without jumping, and I didn't notice her jump or break pace at any time.
At this point I decide it is time to go home! So I pick up my gear and head back over to the car. I get back to the car and look at my recorder - NOTHING WAS RECORDED - even though I checked the record status numerous times. The display says "no messages”
Now what’s even more interesting is we have gotten EVP of a woman’s voice in this cemetery on at least two occasions… once on my old video cameras mic and once on our local NBC affiliate news teams camera. I can’t help but wonder if I finally saw “her”?
I asked for a sign if something was there. And it looks like I got it! I still have goose bumps just THINKING about it. And I want to go BACK, though I’m undecided about going it alone again! Though I probably should at least once since I got results solo.
I get the impression that she wanted me to see her – hence parading up and down the street, but didn’t want to scare me. I’m just happy to know that this place is still apparently quite active. I will be more than happy to lead a hunt there if anyone would like to see it.
What ever this was that Heidi, Heather and I saw vanished behind the very same group of trees and markers where the mysterious woman in white vanished on me almost a year ago. I had recited this story to Heather Heidi and Skip not even 20 minutes earlier and here we witnessed another vanishing act!
Suffice it to say, it was great to have witnesses to a similar event occur in the same area. As I had no witnesses the first time around other than myself, this definitely lended some more credibility to my story.
This was also the first time I've ever been on a hunt and had multiple witnesses to what may have been a ghost! _________________ Patrick Burns

Ghostgeek,
We enjoy hunting with ya too ~ and we always do get some kind of result!
I am eager to return to that cemetary and see if we see anymore vanishing people! That was sooo amazing and so similiar to your prior experience there! That place is very active as is the other place we hunt! I do believe that person and the bike vanished because there is NOOOO way they booked it that fast without a human eye seeing it I cant wait to go back!!! _________________ Heidi

Wow PB! What a story. It really makes you think when you see people (or forms) and you don't even realize that "things may not be as they seem". odd. Case in point: I once was pretty inwardly depressed at work and while walking outside a lady came up out of the blue and said "It's gonna be allright, baby" and walked off. I've never seen her before and have never seen her since..Angels Amongst Us, Ghosts, Spirits? who knows..but I do believe they're out there and you seem to have advanced a step for the recognative association~
