Weird feelings!!!!

Believe me the things I have experienced are no where near what some have been through. But to me they were the scariest in my life...
I used to live in a rowhouse in Baltimore, Md. It was orginally occupied by a sunday school teacher and his wife. The wife passed but i remember the husband growing up. Well after his passing it became a rental. The people before us moved out quickly telling the neighbors that they would hear voices, noises in the basement , and the women seen a man standing at the end of her bed. Well my mom knowing the man in the past said that if this was true he was a kind soul and would not hurt you...So we proceeded to rent it. A few things happened I was watching tv on the couch falling asleep. I heard someone sit on the couch( leather ) and ther was an indent on the seat. Then one night I was giving my daughter a bath and it felt like a towel dropped down from the shower and hit my back. I turned to pick it up NOTHING THERE.
The scariest thing that happened to me was I was spending the night at my grandfathers house. I awoke to a feeling of someone looking at me. I looked at the doorway and there was my GREAT grandfather. He was grey full bodied but I could see the hallway through him. I never screamed do loud.
The last thing that is bothering me is I'm moving to Salisbury, Md in 2 weeks. The house is being remodeled before we go. I just have a sense of dread about this house and I never seen it. Can anyone help me know why I feel this way. Im looking forward to moving.

Hi BlueIce, and first, welcome to GH. It's a great place to talk things like your situation out and get some great advice on how to deal with concerns you have. I'm not too well versed in the powers of the mind yet, but a lot of people have called me a sensitive, and I've had a lot of experiences throughout my life from childhood on that I can't explain. It sounds like you may be sensitive as well, and you may, like me, not really understand it or know what to do about it (like me, too!). I often hear stories (read some of the forums, and you'll understand a little better) about people being more receptive and people getting more visitations at night or while asleep, something about the time 3 am, and something about the dream state, so that could explain your great grandfather. You can explore the forums and find out more. I suspect your feeling of dread may have something to do with your sensitivity or to your concerns about getting into another possibly haunted place, like, oh, what is going to happen now? Do you know any history of the place? You probably know that remodeling can upset a lot of energies and cause a lot of activity, so your subconscious mind may be saying, oh, hell no, when there may be nothing to account for it in reality. Is there a way for you to go visit before you move? Are you committed to the house, or could you back out if you visit and don't like the feel of it? I hope someone with more experience here can help you more than I. I really only gave you more to think about. Sorry. Confused

im new to this but im glad 2 find a place where i can talk about this. i went 2 a hotel that my dad works at as a manager its OLD but thats wat gives it its unique'ns. its called the Santa Rita hotel and has a black history. it was built in 1904 and is 1 of the most historical places in my city. there are MANY stories of ghost and i tired the best of my abilites to have my own experiance. the beggining was when a women went 2 the hotel to see a man who she was having an affair with. the original husband found this out and murderd her. he was latter found in the elevator shaft where he hung himself. his soul is said to be haunting room 822. i asked my father if i could use the key 2 go in if no 1 was using it. i went in it and imeediatly felt a tempature change i had a lot of mixed emotions and diddnt know wat was happening. the sink turned on but only slightly to where u would hear it trickle down the sink. this is wat i wanted to have an encounter. i called it out and told its story to see if i could get a reaction but no such luck. i was extremly scared the whole time. then for some reason a sense of dread fell b4 me and i wept not hard but tears held me over. that was all that happend for that. another story is when a child by the pool was running looking for his mom slipped and eventully drowned. he is said to still be looking 4 his mother. no such luck on that end. one other story is when an orphanage went 2 the hotel. the manager felt bad and gave them the 2 nights free. idk the details but a fire started and most of the kids and a nun were trapped and were burnend. i went to the 9th floor where the fire took place. i had some serious reaction there. i felt a few good tugs on the bck of my pant legs, not hard but like a sorta playful tug it made my heart jump. i tossed a ball it diddnt come back 2 me it stoped dead in its tracks and stayed there. i asked if they wanted 2 play agame and i still got the playful tugs. after that thres a story that a women(dont know the story)but a guest there took the room and his experiance was frightining. his drapes would fly straight out. the windows were closed and the fan was on the other side. in the middle of the night he got a glass of water and left it on the counter the next morning he saw somthing that looked like someone else had some as well. some lipstic was at the end of the glass. 4 unknown reasons the next night he left. i went in there and the drapes did fly out with a violent rush. that made want to leave but i stayed 4 1 more thing. i wanted 2 hear it speak 2 me. i asked her if she would talk but instead i got a picure slam 2 the floor about 3-4ft away from where it was originaly hanging from them i was to scared 2 stay so i left. there was also a expert paranormal invegator who stayd there for a night buy left that same night for unknown reasons and left all her stuff behind. unfortunatly the hotel is closed unless some1 wants 2 buy it and set it up again.

Let me just say Blueice there is no reason for you to fear your Great Grandfather...when I was a nipper and had visits from spirit I'd wander in to my long suffering mums room and wake her up and tell her...

These words she told me I now use today...

Listen he or she wouldnt hurt you when they were alive so why would they hurt you now?

Like what your mum said to you.

You have more to fear from the living than you do the dead..

Fear is a powerful emotion and it stops us from seeing the big picture..if you learn about the paranormal and spirit then the fear go's away..I found that out..by the time I was 10 I'd read all of the paranormal books in the library~! Laughing

Fluffy gave you some great starting points in her reply..my advice to you is relax and realise that you are one of the lucky few who can sense energy the reason you fear the house is because of past experince...

Great gramps was just checking up on you as he loves to see how the family are doing...death isnt the end..its just like they went out of the room and came back with an invisibility cloak on!

Yes it's freaky..but once you get your head round the idea it makes sense and is very comforting to know that when alls said and done we go on and can stay with those we love when we do...

The bath story made me laugh..sounds like they were trying to help you get your daughter out and dry...like they were saying its time to get her out and into bed young lady!

That was kindness and I sense it was maternal energy that wanted to help you out not to scare you...so dont worry..

Spirits can have a really mischievious streak..they dont mean to scare us..but end up doing so!

So .next time if it or anything similar happens just say thankyou and carry on as normal..

This other man (in the row house) for some reason has decided to stay on in the house..maybe he does not want to move or maybe he dont know how too...in his head or memory he never moved out..and you were squatters! Or maybe he liked to visit...

I hope that he and his wife are together now..

Your new house.. read the Sending them into the light post and the replies there...there is some good advice.

Go into the new place with positivity and love as light attracts good energy..if you go in with dread and negativity thats what you will attract by the laws of attraction!

So now ya know... whats to be scared of?
