Aww Kristin ..
Wisdom lol more like a habit for attracting things I later learn to avoiid!
If you scroll upwards to my entry dated 21st sept you'll find the reason as to why I have seen the dark side..and what I did or didnt do
I have also dabbled in my youth (damn that made me sound bloody ancientl lets change that to my younger days!) with ouija and spirt rescue and suffered from an attachment and ended up burning the board..
All these things are lessons we have to learn when we work in this field..how to deal with it.?.Well some use thier faith others white light..some also refuse to accept it and close thier minds and hearts.
For most of us here and those in the non paranormal field, we are truth seekers..we want so badly to believe in the other side that "some "cases we manifest an entity or a haunting from imagination..or a need for attention or simply buried pain and issues that needed an outlet.
Thought as we all know is energy and can manifest as a type of reality..if you want to poo poo that theory I suggest you read up on psyco-kinesis and the Enfield polterguist..
How to handle it without running?.. Learn all you can about protection and energy work..respect the fact that they are more powerful than we are..and DONT get cocky and try and face up to bad energy when you dont know who or what you are dealing with...
It's not a cowardly thing to do if you NEED to run sometimes you have too for your own and the groups sake..
Listen to your gut..watch the faces of the group and remember that fear spreads...
You may laugh at your running and screaming like little girls tactics later when all it turns out to be is a curious mouse coming out to say hello..but if you all felt and spontaniously reacted to an inner GO NOW then you will be justified...
That when you approach your freindly and experienced priest or wiccan or energy worker and ask them for help.

You know, I did read that reply. Then when I asked you, I was picturing some encounter with a hairy beast instead . Maybe because my husband had just walked by. All kidding aside, though, I haven't yet encountered anything like that and don't think I want to.

Wow, you don't see many that say our thoughts can make things manifest. I'm a firm believer that if you give too much of your thougt process into something, it helps to make it real.
But I don't want to get off topic so I'll leave it at that.

Just like to make it clear that for the most part the MAJORITY of folks in the paranormal field dont go around manifesting entities left right and centre! ..
Its just a SMALL majority of folks paranormal or not that want it so badly to be real that they make it happen....

Well, to be honest...it wasn't something I had consciously planned on doing at all. Up until this summer, I wasn't even sure how I felt about the existence of demons.
I got the opportunity to work with Father Andrew Calder on a case earlier this year which picqued my interest. For those of you who may not be familiar with him..he is an Episcopalian priest and exorcist. He has been featured on "Paranormal State" as well. I learned quite a bit from him over the course of a few months and then started reading books on the subject to further my understanding.
He knew I was very active in the field and he told me it was just a numbers game before I came up against something negative.
I decided that as a responsible investigator I should at least have a working knowledge in regards to demons.
This past July while attending TAPSCon in FL... I was asked to assist a few other people with a 14yr old girl who was under demonic attack so I did. If I was on the fence about their existence before...I certainly wasn't after what I witnessed that day. That was also the first time one looked me right in the eye...and I think that's when I knew they had a "lock" on me now.
Afterwards..a few people I respect who work in that realm agreed that I should continue on. A few weeks later I was having a conversation with a well-known psychic. He stopped me mid sentence and apologized for interrupting but said he need to tell me that I had been "called" for this work and that really resonated with me.
Aside from that...I have decided to work malevolant and demonic cases with the team that I do because people who are dealing with these types of situations are near and dear to my heart. I feel like they have fewer options available to them.

Can you tell us more about the circumstances of the case? You know I don't mean any of the confidential details but just the story of the case and how you've helped it, if you feel you have.
My last post was getting wordy so I wanted to address this separately.
As you mention, I can't go into too many specifics but I was told that the client in question was experiencing oppression moving towards possession.
We basically traveled to her home to do a "cleansing" as the team calls it.
The client was acting a bit strange when we arrived and was actually evading us as we came in, physically moving to the back parts of her home.
We do wear blessed medals, carry holy water, and other eclectic items as well.
She was very quiet and even seemed subdued when we started but as we continued on, I could feel her energy getting more and more agitated and she wouldn't make eye contact with the team member leading the cleansing. She kept looking one way or the other. Energetically I felt like she was dodging us and I kept finding myself shifting all around the place to keep on top of things. As we progressed, I felt the need to move to the side of her and that's when she flashed that "look" at me that I referenced in another post.
After we were done...the client just looked different, felt different, and she was smiling and very communicative and friendly!

Tonight starting at 7pm (or maybe 6pm in Georgia) on Sci-Fi, 'The Real Exorcist' will be on. That show looks like it will be interesting . _________________
At first I was skeptical about his intentions and success rate.
Too many of those "preacher" types who hold the bible in one hand and CAST OUT THE DAYVIL with the other have been doing it for the sensationalism. I honestly never believed that those types even honestly believed that a demon was actually inside a person. They seemed to be just going through the motions.
But THIS guy has got it together. I respected the manner in which he actually responded to the person as their demeanor changed. You could definitely tell that he has been dealing with negative entities face to face for a long time by the way he could sense what was going on in the person spiritually and had a plan in mind on how to get the entity to face him. I believe he is geniune and look forward to seeing more of him in action. I noticed that he was adept at following subtle cues from the posessed person to gague how best to get the invading entity to admit its weakness. I liked that strategey. It seems to work well for him. I also liked the fact that someone else besides the Catholic Church was endeavoring to face this problem of posession in today's world head on.
From my opinion as an Christian and what the bible says, i shall share my thoughts.

According to the book of Genisis when the fallen angels found favor in human women, the had relations with them and the women gave birth to "mighty men" (which is what golith was) half angel half man. God called these beings an abomination and flooded the earth, etc. the souls of these beings became demons, part of satans army.
demons are powerfull, but are not everyhwere at once. when one demon enters a person or home, it brings others with it the next one more powerful than itself. they are not to be messed with on a spiritual level, we as humans only step in when a person becomes possesd. according to the word (the bible) if you are a true beliver, you only need to use the lords name and command in the name of God for the unclean to be cast out.
i belive in angels and demons and possesion of people or even a demon dwelling in homes.
i have never seen one and i do not know of anyone who has been possesd, but i am sure that demonic force is not to be tested or messed with.
