my real-life experience from 10/27

Background info: I have experienced paranormal activity since childhood. Those of you who have gotten to know me are well aware of this. Those of you who haven't, you will get to know me in time. I have been called an empath. This is an excerpt from my lj blog I wanted to share here. Ken is a friend of mine who is a massage therapist and uses Reiki healing energy during therapy sessions.

Ok, so you guys know how I rave about Ken and his wonderful massages, right? Well, we had to reschedule my massage from yesterday to today at 2. This one was ridiculously amazing. Even moreso than before. It was an hour and a half, and it was more energy work than massage, I think.

I told you guys he does Reiki energy work, right? Well, if I didn't, now you know. He has exorcised my demons. There had to have been about 5 or 6 of them in the room with us. It took a lot of work to get rid of them, and you may think I'm kidding, but I am not. There was one who just wouldn't let go. It was a mess. Hell, I was a mess, blubbering there on the table. It took a lot of him convincing me I was safe and to let go. I was shaking and he was literally holding me down on the table.

If you don't believ me, just wait until we finish our history lessons and you learn more about me. The ringing in my ears stopped for the first time in ages. I can't even begin to tell you how free I feel now. I am so ready to start my journey into witchcraft now! I am free, free, free. As soon as it was over, I could feel a change in the air, it was just palpable, the difference. It was light and I could get more oxygen in when I breathed.

When he left the room to let me get dressed, I couldn't believe how great it felt to be alone with myself for the first time in years. It has literally been years. I can't even remember the last time I didn't have someone watching me do something, anything. I can't remember the last time I felt at peace. When he came back in to follow-up with me, he said he could see a huge difference, and I was smiling, he told me to look in the mirror and asked me who I saw. I didn't even recognize the face looking back at me. He asked Ed if he recognized me, and Ed said he had seen me a few times, but it had been a while. I told Ed all about it. He was pretty silent, I'm not sure if that was good or bad. I don't think he believes me, he doesn't believe in all of that, but he knows there was a huge change in me.

But, anyway, I intend to get a very good night's sleep tonight and get some rest over the next few nights. I am not so much dreading Samhain now! Yipee!! And I think I have some better tools to be able to keep all of this out. I think Ken was able to lend me some energy to shield things out for a bit.

Thanks you Ken, is all I can say, you will never know how grateful I am to you, and how much you helped me. Goddess bless you and your wife and your sweet baby girl.

I realized having re-read my post that I mis-used the term "demon". For me, I've been living with what I would call "demons" for years, as in personal demons. The things we dealt with yesterday, I would call "entities", but they were my own personal demons. I'm sorry to mislead anyone who read the entry. Also, to clarify a few things, I have been experiencing the paranormal most of my life, and I have never known how to shut anything out. I thought it was normal until I was ridiculed, and until I started being a part of this group, I never spoke about it again. I learned to be silent and leave it be. I didn't know who to turn to or what to do. I have been speaking to certain members of this group to learn more, and I thought if I opened myself up to these experiences I'd learn more. I don't know what I'm doing, so I think that might have been a bad idea. In Ken, I found someone whom I could trust and who knew what he was doing and recognized how seriously harmful all of this was to me, and helped me to release that which was causing me harm. I apologize for any confusion I may have caused to anyone reading the initial post and hope this may have cleared it up a bit. If you have any more questions, I am very open to discussing, as long as it is not in an aggressive manner, so feel free to post a reply, and I'll be glad to talk to you about my lifelong experiences.

Kudos for posting what is a very personal and powerful experience, flufflyluggage. When I first read your post, I did question your use of the word demons--I've heard such things as you described referred to as negative constructs--literally, they're extensions of our own negative thoughts and feelings that begin to take on a half-life of their own. You occasionally run across them in hauntings, and it's usually what you're dealing with when people think there are demons or such bothering them in their homes and want a cleansing.

I have heard of energy work doing the clearing you spoke of, and it's always been described to me as being a very emotional process. I've done similar things myself with self-Reiki and the violet flame, and it is an amazingly light feeling afterwards. As I'm a big proponent of people taking control of their own healing, cleansing, and protection, I don't do this very often for other people, instead giving them some steps they can use to do it themselves.

Again, thanks so much for sharing, and I'm glad it worked so well for you.

I said they were "entities" and then I said they were my own personal demons. It should have read they WEREN'T my own personal demons. Ken said to me in his own words: "Why are you carrying other people's energy around with you? Why are there other people's energy in this room with us? There should just be you and me here." Which led to the discussion of my experiences with the paranormal. Again, I'm sorry to mislead anyone, my typing and my thinking just don't seem to be connecting as I am trying to describe my experience. This is very difficult for me, so I hope you will all understand what is going on here. I described the situation better in person with Poe the other night, once I had calmed down a bit, so maybe I should have sat on it a while longer before posting. Embarassed

That does make a difference--now the only thing you have to ask yourself is, how to keep it from happening in the future. I find the balancing act between interacting and being open with people and keeping my own boundaries clear to be very difficult, sometimes impossible. Interestingly, the same cleansing techniques work, whether the energy comes from us or from others--it's just a less emotional process when it comes from other people.
