Hi everyone! I am in need of a new digital camera, my old one is only 2 years old, but I can't find one of the parts I need on the website anymore (I don't trust ebay), sooo i'm going to bite the bullet and buy a new one. What do you guys recommend for a great digital camera for ghost hunting that can pick up the great details like mists, orbs, etc.? Also will want one that can take movies, and has a pretty big screen on the back. Thanks so much! Oh, would like to keep it under $300 if possible.

I have been extremely happy with my Canon PowerShot camera. They just release a new one not too long ago the SD850 IS that is getting some pretty good reviews. _________________ Eeek the Kat (aka Darren)

It appears that I may have jumped the gun on the SD850 IS, doesn't look like it is out yet. Sorry about that.
I have the SD900 and paid about $300 on eBay for it. _________________ Eeek the Kat (aka Darren)

Do you think I should wait, or are you happy with yours and are you keeping yours for awhile??

I will be keeping mine for a while, but I also have the Fujifilm IS-1 (infrared) that I will typically be using on investigations. _________________ Eeek the Kat (aka Darren)

Nope, not exactly available at the corner store. It ended up running me about $1,000 after getting the memory card and filter I needed. _________________ Eeek the Kat (aka Darren)

also check Sams, they tend to have good stuff cheap also.
If you check the TAPS fourms, C Tanner has a great thread on gear and updates when stuff goes on sale. |
