Hi everyone!
So I don't have my own tv show and I won't be doing any radio interviews anytime soon but I *just* learned there is a small chapter about me in a book by one of my favorite authors...Amelia Kinkade!
I met her in Nashville, TN a few years ago when I attended a seminar she was teaching. She later came to Atlanta and I attended her seminar again. I sent her a lengthy email to ask her some questions and she asked if she could use it in her next book. I said sure and forgot all about it. Well, her new book came out last month and I just got it from Amazon a few days ago. I had started reading it but hadn't gotten far. Tonight I opened it up and it fell open to a different page and I saw my name! She did include my email and my story in there after all! I start at the end of page 121 and run through the top of page 124.
Amelia is the niece of Golden Girls star, Rue McClanahan. When she was here in Atlanta for that seminar a few years ago, she found out her Aunt Rue was in town filming a movie called "The Fighting Temptations" with Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Beyonce. She said that she wanted to visit her. My friend and I said we could take her to the set of the movie and we did. We got to meet Cuba Gooding, Jr and we later went out to dinner with Rue, Amelia, and a hilarious guy who worked for Paramount Pictures. We took them to the Atlanta Fish Market and boy what an experience that was but that's a whole 'nuther story!!
Anyway, I'm posting this under the Psychic Thread because the book deals with animal communication. It's called:
The Language of Miracles: A Celebrated Psychic Teaches You to Talk To Animals by Amelia Kinkade (foreward by Dr. Bernie S. Siegel.)
Interestingly enough, there are some concepts that she discusses that might be REALLY relevant to paranormal research. She interviews astronaut, Dr. Edgar Mitchell and he has this to say:
"Recent Research suggests that we, and every physical object, have a resonant holographic image associated with our physical existence. It is called Quantum Hologram (QH). One can think of this as a halo or light body, made up of tiny quantum emissions from every molecule and cell in the body. The QH was discovered and experimentally validated by Professor Walter Schempp in Germany while he was working on improvements to the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technology. He discovered that the well-known phenoneman of emission/reabsorption of energy by all physical objects at the quantum level carries information about the history of the physical object"
GG..if you are reading this, I think this coincides with the Law of Conservation that you spoke of at the Theo Society.
Anyway, wouldn't it be cool if someday we could use MRI technology as a tool to investigate!!

VERY VERY cool Laurie!!
This has been added to my list of "must read"!
And yes - MRI would be extremely interesting technology to incorporate in paranormal investigations. Sadly, at the time, MRI imagers aren't even remotely portable, but who knows where the technology will be in the future!
Congrats to you! _________________ Patrick Burns

I'm intrigued at the MRI work you wrote about. It sounds as if they're close to having physical evidence of a person's subtle or astral body. And that, just as many people have theorized, everything on earth has just such a body. It will be interesting to see where the research leads.

That's so cool, Laurie! And to be surprised with it like that! WILD!!!
We'll have to set up something special where we all bring our copies of it for you to sign!

Not only are MRIs no where near portable, but they're nowhere near affordable either. You think theraml imaging cameras are expensive!!!!
Other individuals besides hardcore scientists have been talking about the holographic nature of the cells in the human body for a while now. Check out some of Deepak Chopra's work (he is a neurologist and a metaphysician)....

Good point! For those who wonder "how much?" (and scarymom knows I'm not exaggerating) let me put it to you this way... think of owning a mansion with a swimming pool, tennis court and private horse stable for the same price, or maybe even slightly less! Go "shopping" for a new one and they wont even list a price. That right there tells you something - they don't want potential buyers to get "sticker shock" and need a scan THEMSELVES!
Here is a photo that demonstrates the "portablity" of these devices... http://www.nisnc.com/ct_scanners.asp
Caption reads An NIS installation at a Presbyterian Hospital’s
Ballentyne branch in Charlotte
OK... not to "thread jack" this - back on topic... Laurie - where can we find this book??? _________________ Patrick Burns

Sorry I forgot to reply to some of these..I got mine at Amazon.com. The friend whose cat I am talking about in the book lives in NE and got a copy over the weekend at Barnes and Noble though.
P.S- I know that MRI's are large, clunky, and expensive now but anything is possible for the future! Remember how big car phones/cell phones used to be!

You guys are cracking me up...that was an old post from May 2006!
Thank you for all the congratulations though!!!
Oddly enough ...right around the same time the Ghost Chicks responded to that old post last night, I did receive an email out of the blue from another person who is in the book as well. She is closely associated with the author!
