Hi Houndies!
Well our team had their first major investigation as E.G.P., To say the least It was all we had hoped it would be and then some.
The team on this investigation included Myself, My wife Michelle, My co-founder Heidi, her husband Skip, Jenna (Monkish) and a new member to the team Bobby (who at the beginning of this investigation was a super skeptic.... not anymore).
On January 6, 2007 at approxamately 9 am four members of our team assembled at the Gaither Plantation to set up equipment and take a general tour of the site. Infrared cameras were set up In every room of the property. Two wireless cameras were placed in the upstairs bedrooms and four wired infrared cameras were set up in the downstairs rooms. The wireless cameras were connected to a DVD recorder with the wired cameas connected to VCRs.The entire team re assembled at 5 pm to start the investigation.
A private pre investigation ivideo nterview of the trustees of the property which lasted about an hour. A lot of information on the history of the property was obtained from said trustees. This interview was conducted out of earshot of all members who have sensitive abilities. The interview video was not shown to the sensitive team untill the day after the investigation, nor was any infromation obtained by me during the interview relayed to the team.
Skip manned the base station as the team of myself and heidi started on the upstairs floor and included the attic area. Team two consisting of Jenna (monkish), Michelle and Bobby started on the downstairs floor including the basement.
While I was conducting the interview, our sensitive was already picking up names and physical discriptions of people associated with the property. Which was later validated to the sensitives when i let them watch the interview tape the next day.
One of the most active sites on the property was a church that had recently been moved onto the grounds from elsewhere. Several paranormal ocurances happend while in this church in plain view of all members of the team at the same time. There were sounds of knocking, a moving orb was caught on tabe coming through betwen the doors and continuing down the center isle to the alter dissappearing as a loud thump sounded. In plan view of all team members a laser from an IR thermometer was completely blocked and hidden from view. it seemed to be enveloped by a dark mass inside the church.
The family cemetary on the property produced some excellent Mist Photos that could not be duplicated and were taken by 3 different caameras at the same time from different angles and could not be seen with the naked eye.
Bobby our newbie saw his first shadow person cross in front of a window instantly and forever hooking him into paranormal investigation.
In conclusion, lot of personal experiences were had. The sensitive team hit about 90% matching the reports by the caretakers. We got some positive results on the EVP work. and we have some great photo and video evidence . The most exciting part of the night was just before sunrise the spirits of the property seemed to go all out and give us one last treat by having an arguement and leading us on a wild goose chase all over the house.
We all heard a rather loud arguemnet between a man and a woman upstairs and when the whole team went up to find it the arguement had moved downstairs so we went downstairs and it was back upstairs. then it went into the attic. this wnt on for about ten minutes or so and awomans laugh was heard and then it abruptly stopped. My theory is they wanted to hve a little fun with us before we left. We broke down the equipment and thanked the spirits for having us about 8 am and departed.
I will post some pics, evp, and video soon as i get it all in from the team.
Is Gaither Plantation Haunted? In my opinion definately YES! the spirits in the house are gracious and friendly. The spirit in the church on the other hand is not so hospitable and makes you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome... almost like you are a child being scolded.
To those who are "Ultra Skeptics" I challenge you to spend a night in Gaither... and like our newbie you will be re-examining you position. We will be going back very soon for a follow up investigation.

over 29 hours of video tape was shot and 3 full DVD's were burnt
over 1000 photos were taken among the team members.

Way to go guys. Dance Sounds like you all had the place totally surrounded with equipment. I would love to see the evidence that was captured. Maybe at the Seminar this month.

you chose a good place for the first major investigation. I've only had the pleasure of investigating there one time, but it is quite an active spot. Did you guys happen to hear the mutant cow across the lake during the night?
