Has anyone read Alan Brownıs new book ³Ghost Hunters of the South. Brown interviews paranormal investigators from Alabama, Georgia (yes, Patrick Burns), Virginia, NC, SC, Mississippi, Louisana, Tennessee and Kentucky. The interviews were conducted over the phone and he used a basic questionaire format for each team, i.e. what kind of equipment do you use, how many in your group, most interesting investigation, etc. After intervewing all these teams and even going on a few investigations , Brown comes to the conclusion that he does not believe that there is anything paranormal, that everything has a scientific explanation. His final chapter offers explainations for EVPs (random noises confused with voices), full body appraritions (electromagnetic fields have interfered with your brain) and says that the findings of paranormal investigators cannot be accepted as valid proof without undermining the very foundations of scientific method (you canıt reproduce this in a lab). It just seemed like he interviewed all these people and won their confidence and then basically said youıre all full of crap. I loved the interviews with these groups, they gave some fascinating stories about some of the cases theyıve worked on but I just got the feeling that Mr. Brown only wrote this to cash in on the popularity of paranormal investigations. Oh, and he also said that T.A.P.S. was known for faking evidence and that most groups didnıt have any respect for their findings. Iım just curious to see if anybody else has read this book and what they thought.

Well everyone is entitled to his or her opinion on things.....Thank goodness for free speech ....
It's ok though its not like it will hurt the every day paranormal investigator....Most of us are used to disbelief and skepticism.....
I have heard too many EVP's that are clearly not noises that I mistook for something else, I am not sure where that little girls voice came from I truly thought I was alone maybe I am blind or the electromagnetic field blocked my vision from seeing her.....Too many are clear and precise hehe.....The AVP's as well....Oh well sometimes being Fox Mulder has its downfalls .....
Heaven knows I understand the effect electromagnetic fields have on me, there are many days I wish they would just leave me alone....My head and ears would thank me for the silence, and my balance would be happy to go back to stable darn dizziness knocks me over sometimes......10 Neurologists and otologists decisions on my hearing, and neurological function could tell you its not me....Stupid normal test results anyway "grumble, grumble".....
If only, if only some of the FBA's I have seen were simply that.....It would be a relief since then I wouldn't have to struggle with the horror of some of those sights.....(some of them are pretty graphic ) I am not sure where my mind gets some of those outfits though, wow I knew I had a great imagination but wow who would have thunk it.....
Ah T.A.P.S. wow if only it were easier being in the spotlight....You know you have to be faking it because its all too strange to be real....Oh wait a minute I thought that truth WAS stranger than fiction....ok now I am confused ......It's ok, another day another set of comments and another moment in time that could have been spent on something else......

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
