Dear Mother/Father God:
Surround me with Your energy of protection and courage. Let only positive energies enter this field of protection and let all negative energy be returned to the sender on a ray of love. Actually, your HTML code is fine... it just will not work here in the post. phpBB will not render images formatted in HTML. However, you can put a picture in a post by using BBcode tags.
So.. to add the image above... just start off with "[img]", then add the image location (URL), then end with "[/img]". To show the image, you would add the following:

Thanks to all who responded. Thought I'd post these 2 I found that I really like for anyone who might read this thread in the future...

The Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram.
It's a mystic ritual performed in ancient Hebrew that basically encircles an area, banishes negative and/or malevolent energies from within, and stations the four archangels at the four compass points of the circle guarding it. I've performed the ritual both in a traditional manner and as a led hypnosis.

This should be used for a good solid week every day then peroidic enforcement for extream manifistations of negative energies that are over whelming. If one is balanced, then attachment issues are very very rare and only for a couple of hours.
If our energy is not fully aligned and we are not balanced....protection prayers are pretty useless. These are good reinforcement techniques, but it must start with ones own well beinging.
No matter your creed or religious affliations, make sure you are whole yourself before putting yourself in harms way.

I was a little confused when I read your last post. Let me explain a little bit....
What I've been told and learned (I think) through experience is that those who are balanced and aligned tend to attract energies who attach sometimes more often than those who are not. I think the reasons (or motivation) for such attachments tend to be different than what usually occurs for those individuals who are way out of balance and alignment.
I'd also be personally reluctant to tell anyone that their protection prayers don't work. I totally agree that an individual needs to work on a personal sense of inner balance, but depending on what one's personal spiritual belief system is, some of us believe that all our prayers are answered affirmatively by a loving God, including prayers for protection.....

As long as one has a deep sence of self and religious...something. I never stated that ones protection prayers do not work. They work better shall I say if one is balanced and grounded. Sorry for the confusion. I like taking a bit from each religion and making a kaliedascope of belifes. Add all religions up and someone has it right. At the moment I am facinated with Buddism.
I subscribe to the, "if you do no know how to drive, do not race in Nascar". Hold tight to your beliefs what ever they are and you should be ok. If it fails, there is help out there.
Spirits tend to move towrds me because I can vibrate on their same level, which attracts. Like a magnet if you will. I will only vibrate at extream high levels when i am on medium duty or training. I have to litterally deeply ground myself and shut it off or I will have a stadium full of entities wanting me to speak with their loved ones when I am trying to watch TV. You will see many mediums ingrain themselves in daily rituals for this very reason.
Attachment issues are non existant as they cannot survive longe on a well balanced living being as they have to change thier vibrations. The higher the vibration (well balanced living human) the less malevolence it can manifest. This is why malevolent enities gravitate to the lower vibrating human (sick, mentally ill, ungrounded).
Please keep in mind my posts are not of an expert advice, Only what has worked for me. There are no experts in metaphysics, only higher enlightenment.
