I just heard this morning that VH1 has a new show on Sunday nights at 10pm called "Celebrity Paranormal". The first one is on this coming Sunday with a group of celebrities going to the Waverly Hills Sanatorium.

I hope this show doesn't make a joke out of true paranormal investigators!!! _________________ Debi

I missed that if something like that was on before. I'm going to try to watch it just to see what it's like. If nothing else, probably for a few good laughs!! _________________ Debi

Roflmao.....
Well it ought to be entertaining anyway ......
It reminds me of the show where families were sent into haunted places and split up....I cannot remember what it is called though....
Lots of fun screaming and begging tee hee.....
Although when that board moved in the tunnel at the pirate house I jumped about 15 feet in the air and almost ripped off poor Eeek's arm......
I certainly understand being frightened by some of it ....
But I am more likely to try to chase down the activity than run away from it ....

I watched the first act on Vspot and it is EXACTLY 100% identical to MTV's "Fear" that used to be on. That show was more about scaring the crap out of people than any real paranormal investigation. I mean, come on...the cameras are all facing the people and not out into the areas they are investigating. When things suddenly appear in rooms that no one was supposedly in, it's not very credible when there is no evidence that some stagehand didn't waltz in there and place it.
I used to enjoy this type of show before I got serious, but now they just piss me off

| To me most of these shows are just silly. But I gues they are fun to watch if theirs nothing else on. Some of them are making fun of ghost being real. |

That was "Scariest Places on Earth".
I would LOVE to book something for the Hounds overseas at one of those creepy haunted old castles!

I thought this show was supposed to be on VH1 last night at 11:30pm. That's what the website said. However, they aired the Wendy Williams Experience instead. Is this show just going to air on VSpot online? _________________ "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars" - Les Brown |

I missed half of the show last night. It comes on again at 3pm today (Monday) and again at 11:30pm tonight. I may have to record it as I'm going to be asleep by then. LOL I have the DVD Spooked which is a documentary of Waverly and it's creepy as anything. I thought the show was pretty good last night. _________________ "Shoot for the moon. Yep - - Big MTV's "Fear" rip-off.... And Hal (the comedian) was right. The scariest thing there was Gary Busey....

That's why I liked what I saw of the show! I love Gary Busey's insaneness. He's darn near frightening to me. LMAO! _________________ "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars" - Les Brown |

| I was looking forward to it for the entertainment value... I think anything they got was staged, but Gary was so freakish that he made up for it all being faked!! Waverly Hills is such a frightening setting, just having someone banging a door frame down the hall was enough to freak out poor Donna D'Errico! It is identical to MTV's Fear from a few years ago, except now they are finding D list celebs to scare. One week Danny Bonaduce will be on there - that ought to be scary too! I thought it was funny, not scary in the least!! |

Busey is quite a scary dude - he was the best part of the show. _________________ "The Lord gave us two ends - one to sit on and the other to think with. Success depends on which one we use the most." - Ann Landers

Yep - I was disappointed with the format and felt a lot was staged as well. Whether things were staged or not though, I was very upset that they split folks up in there. I don't think there was a film crew following them since they had those wierd cameras attached to them and those placed in strategic spots inside. It's just plain dangerous to leave someone by themselves. _________________ Debi

Yep, I felt this was just 'Fear' with celebs too. And since they (MTV)did a lot of staging with 'Fear', why wouldn't they (VH1) with this show? They probably made all the noises, moved the red ball, and left the doors open. But I still can't figure out how if Hal really saw the shadow people and actually did the automatic writing, automatically. Guess we'll never know.... |
