The television has a lot of activity centered around it; it's hard to explain without sounding looney. I know it's hard to believe, but you'd have to be here. I am ready for heavy scrutinization with that in mind...
This was recorded last month. Husband on-duty, kids sleeping in the sofa-bed with me (it's like camping for them or something). I have a wall behind me, and to my right is the living room. Nothing moving or hanging to my right, which would be dead-center in front of the TV.The IR beam from my camera is visible in the TV screen.
I captured something that I cant explain, but describing it would be a face coming out from the television screen. The television had been "off" for hours. I crawled into bed with my camera because it was active that evening.
I use a Sony DCR-TRV22 Digital Handycam that uses mini dv film; the setting in this case was super night-shot.

Very interesting, any idea what may have caused the light on the screen? _________________ Based on the condition that you are incapable of moving at a high velocity with large animals of the canine species, then you shall be required to remain in a location that is in the general vicinity of the front door of your domicile.

Hey, I have to say this was the perfect thing to watch after viewing 3 hours of Ghost Documentaries with my girlfriend. it seems to have a pretty clear face... That is some crazy footage. Is there a history with your house or the land it is on? I am not one who has ever been on an investigation and I dont know much about it all but That is awesome!

Hi Wackywizjr;
Other than my glowing IR light emitting from my video camera, there is absolutely no reason for that light source to appear (in my opinion). This is 4-5 in the morning, and the television had been turned 'off' for many, many hours. I aimed the lens at the television to film what happens when activity in the house occurs and the camera was steady. I thought I'd only catch the audio; when filming I did not see any light anomalies.
It was upon reviewing the video on the camera's flip-out screen that I noticed it. When I transferred the data; that's when I was able to see it 100% better. If you watch and listen, there is an audible noise infraction which I believe can be assoicated with the moment the face pops out of the television screen.
My theory is that since televisions have capacitors, and capacitors contain their own electrical force field; there lies some type of 'dynamics' with that association and the spirits that are still grounded to our third dimension. Maybe it has to do with a form of manifestation on a lower level of vibrations, frequencies, etc.?
A lot of zaps, snaps, crackles and pops project from both televisions and over half of the time; I can feel it. I would say it feels like being hit with energy. It would be like the reverberation from a blast; that's what it feels like to me. My husband and children can not feel it, but they can hear it.
I have a few other videos to post; I've captured what I can see as a light anomaly (orbish) coming from the television in our bedroom, an audible sound that is quite loud on the video capture, but I seemed to have barely been able to hear it.
When I experience clairaudience, it comes from my upper-right, outer-inner ear; kinda like 'right field'. It's audible but not loud; it sounds like it's coming from inside my head, but it's not...make any sense?
If I can get rid of this migraine (they usually last a few days), then I'll post those other videos later today...
Thank you for watching these clips, I appreciate the input, questions and comments - regardless of the content.

Hi Hazick,
Nice to meet you.
La Mirada has a very rich history, I researched it at the beginning of the year in order to try and figure out why there is so much activity in my home. I was surprised at my findings; I presumed that this area was acres of fields purchased by developers and homes plotted for Weber-Bread America to purchase. I was wrong in my presumptions (to a certain degree); I never thought anyone lived on the land.
La Mirada: From Rancho to City. Maybe boring but I highlighted in red points of interest or connection to where I live. I've incorporated other historical dates to get a better grasp on the timeline.
Date Details
Pre-Spanish Indians roamed the land.
1542-1842 Spain ruled California
1775-1784 AMERICAN REVOLUTION
1812-1814 THE WAR OF 1812
1820-1860 MEXICAN~AMERICAN WAR
1846-1848 U.S.~MEXICAN WAR
1850 California admitted to the State Of The Union
1861-1865 CIVIL WAR
1861-1862 Floods; rainfall begins for 30 days, grazing land becomes submerged underwater.
1862-1863 Droughts follow; only 4 inches of rainfall during this time.
1864 Droughts continue; only a trace of rainfall during this time. Stearns Ranch lost 45,000-50,000 cattle on his property alone. Abel Stearns lost Rancho Alamitos and all surrounding properties.
1868-1869 177,798 acres sold by Abel Stearns to an agency of businessmen was taken over by them. The agency for Abel Stearns Rancho plotted a town-site venture named “Savanna”; 84 years later it became the first sub-division named, “Shaw No. 1”.
1872 The “Savanna” venture never developed but was still listed as part of a revised map for the Abel Stearns Rancho. The prospective land area site for “Savanna”. Also on this map is designation of an Indian camp not too far to the Southwest of “Savanna”.
1888 Andrew McNally purchases property from Rancho Los Coyotes (2,378 acres) and names the area “La Mirada”, Spanish for the view, gaze, look. The property was originally a sheep ranch prior to McNally reserving 700 acres from the original land purchase and building Windermere Ranch. Because of unfavorable economic conditions, McNally was only able to sell one 80 acre land parcel, so he consolidated the remainder of the property as Windermere Ranch and planted groves of olive and citrus trees.
ABEL STEARNS HOME aka STEARNS RANCHO COMPANY aka RANCHO ALAMITOS Property specifications; Wedge-shaped tract; Stearns Ranch still retained interest in the McNally property; George Bell Reeve, in purchasing his quarter section of land from McNally listed two sellers; McNally and Stearns Rancho Company.
1890 Andrew McNally purchased 2,360 acres of land from the Stearns Ranchos for his La Mirada colony of “Country Gentleman Estates” and his Windermere Ranch.
1892 GEORGE BELL REEVE RANCH aka LA POMELO RANCH aka AUTRY T. MAYES RANCH aka THE HIGHLANDS: Established by the purchase of a ¼ section from the McNally property. Ranch house was built for extensive entertaining, an elaborate 13-rooms. A ¼ section in the Northeast corner of Alondra Blvd and Escalona Road was also (in part) the area of La Mirada’s first town site; the ill-fated “Savanna”.Pepper Tree Lane led to a circular drive surrounding the home and reservoir, also on the property: 5 acre garden,aviary, hay barn with pigeon loft, mule shed, corral, pump house and tower, ranch-hand bunkhouse.
Just this year, my son told me that he remembers when he was in kindergarten (2004-2005); that he use to come into the den (our office), while I was sitting at my computer. And he would see a giant bird, "You know mommy, like the one's at Pirates of the Caribbean' at Disneyland". The bird was standing behind me on the floor, he said, and it was primarily red. I asked him to draw the bird; then I made another drawing and he exclaimed, "Yeah! Mom, that's it, that's it...that's the bird that was standing on the floor!" I asked him what he did when he saw the bird, and he told me he backed out of the room and didnt say anything because he was scared.
The first homes, other than the ranch residences, were started during the late 1940’s on a portion of the ranch property when it was owned by Autry Thomas Mayes.
Timeline of various ranch owners:
1890-1920 The Reeve family owned the ranch until sold;
1920-1934 Hemphill & Christianson owned the ranch sold;
1934-1940 Dannenburg was the owner of the ranch sold;
1940-1953 Autry T. Mayes & family lived here until sold;
1953-1955 Ranch home was razed; its site is present day Windermere Park.
1893 McNALLY HOME aka WINDERMERE RANCH, later THE NEFF HOUSE: McNally home was built by architect F. L. Roehrig and named Windermere Ranch (a Scotish family name) later it was called the Neff House. Property specifications; L-shaped tract. Two bronze Egyptian sphinx statues flank the entrance at Stage Road, going up Windermere Avenue to the house.The entrance to the house was opposite the La Mirada Railroad Station. The Sierra Madre Mountains to the North of La Mirada; Old Mount Baldy and Grayback Mountain were visible (both mountains over 10,000 feet high).There were Artesian wells used as a water system, wild oats and mustard were also growing in the area.
In November-2005 I went to a party at Neff Park, the old ranch house location. I did not research La Mirada's history until January-2006. Moving here in 1999, I did not know anything about La Mirada. I'm not from California either. The day we went to the park, my husband was driving and I looked up from a book I was reading, only to see two bronize Egytian sphinx statues on either side of the road that we were turning onto. This road was the old entrance to the ranch house and near the old railroad station. The first thing that went through my mind was 'What the hell are spinxes doing in this neighborhood? Those are ugly, my God, those are so tacky, and gawdy. Why sphinxes? Those mean-looking gargoyles would look better that spinxes. This doesnt look like a sphinxy neighborhood. How did all of the neighbors agree to that? What about those lions with the paw in the air? Even those would look better than spinxes.' I did not find out until February-2006 that those sphinxes were long ago, gone away. They had been taken down and stored in one of the plants owned by McNally, and they disappeared - someone probably stole them. The other thing I saw that same day that no lonver existed but I had no knowledge ever did; a hexagon water fountain that was in front of the ranch house. Upon getting to the park, I dropped-off my husband and kids to attend this party, I was planning to return later after doing some house chores. I got out of the passenger side and as I walked around the back of our car towards the driver's side, I notices, in front of the ranch house, this broken down fountain. It looked horrible and I saw old dirty leaves in the empty fountain. First thing I said to myself, "Oh, that's not good. If someone doesnt clean that up then Vector Control will be out here. That's a real hazard, mosquitos, West Nile Virus, next to a school sitting on the park premises. They should take care of that quick because it's been raining." It's in February that I returned to the park to go look at the things I'd just read about in a book I bought regarding the history of La Mirada. When I read the book and saw the photos, I told my husband, "Hey! Look, those spinxes are there and the fountain. Remember the day we went to the park for Richie's birthday party (our son's friend)?". My husband acknowledged going to the party but said he didnt remember the fountain or the sphinxes. I of course, thought he was being aloof, and went to go take photos of the old ranch house, the foremans home, the barn, the sphinxes and the old fountain. When I got to the park that morning, no sphinxes, no fountain...yes, the ranch house, foreman house and barn were still there. I asked the park worker to point me in the right direction and this man thought he was talking to a loon, because he'd been working there for 30 years and knew the things I saw that day were long gone. I know I saw those things without any prior knowledge of their existence. My husband believes me, but told me next time I notice something very odd; to write it down or ask him if he see's it.
1896 Andrew McNally hands over Windermere Ranch to his daughter Nannie and her husband, Edwin Neff. The “La Mirada Land Company Colony Plan”; Andrew McNally (President) and his son-in-law, Edwin Neff (Secretary) operates this venture. Andrew McNally retires from the “Rand-McNally Map Company” and devotes his time between his homes in Altadena, Chicago and La Mirada.[/color]
LA MIRADA RAILROAD STATION (DEPOT)
Property specifications; The original railroad station (depot) was a small brick building. The elaborate railroad station (depot) was constructed on Stage Road, opposite the entrance of Windermere Ranch. It was painted white instead of the usual color; yellow. La Mirada Railroad Station (depot) is built upon the Southern California Railway aka Santa Fe Railroad Route; 17 miles Southeast of Los Angeles. The station was last used in 1956.
McNally built an olive press mill and a citrus packing plant adjacent to the railroad. Many years later these structures were razed; the citrus packing plant was destroyed by fire.
1898 SPANISH~AMERICAN WAR
1914-1919 WORLD WAR I
1918-1929 During the silent movie era, films were shot in La Mirada primarily for the lush, untouched landscape and scenery.
Post WW I Posses of deputies and civilians combed the dark groves and farmlands following abduction.
I dont know the outcome of this abduction or any other details in relation to location.
Early 1930’s Japanese flower farmers raised flower crops.
HAMANO FAMILY FARM (flower farm)
INVI VEGETABLE FARM aka BLUE HILLS; Property specifications; 250 acres of land leased from the Windermere Ranch
Violence erupts with a gun fight to ensue: During lemon pruning season, over an unknown debate, workers employed by various ranches had a shoot-out after working hours. No one was injured during this gun battle.
Corpses were found in the olive tree groves:
The first was found hanging from an olive tree.
The second was found bound and murdered. The police surmise the person was killed somewhere else and the body dumped in the olive tree groves.
I dont know the exact proximity of these locations compared to mine.
1937-1945 WORLD WAR II
1940 RIP: Robert C. McGill dies on one of the lonely ranch roads as he attempted to free his car from a sand rut.
Following WWII international tempers flared at the Windermere Ranch which resulted in a shooting: The ranch night-watchman (French) shot the ranch blacksmith (German). The debate being - whether or not the hogs in the Imperial Valley were fed cantaloupe. The blacksmith survived his injuries and the night watchman ran away, never to be seen again.
After WWII tragedy struck Windermere Ranch: Due to the Japanese being sent to internment camps, new families moved into their homes. New tenants moved into a home on the ranch property, a fire in the sleeping quarters killed 2 children of the Lopez family.
The first homes were developed by Autry T. Mayes (former Reeve/La Pomelo Ranch) in the late 1940’s.
Harold L. Shaw, purchaser of the ranch started his developments on Alondra Blvd, East of Stage Road junction.
Shaw purchased the plot between Alondra Blvd and Stage Road from the McComber Ranch and on the North side of Alondra Blvd from the Autry T. Mayes Ranch; this tract was known as “Shaw No. 1” - I am located here, I'm pretty sure
“Shaw No. 1” later became known somewhat as “La Mirada Highlands” (a name suggested by Autry T. Mayes from his ranch which he re-named “The Highlands” in the 1940’s).
1950-1953 KOREAN WAR
1953 This is the “birth year” of La Mirada becoming the future city that it is today. Windermere Ranch, long an industry and community within its own domain bowed to the encroachment of the development of small homes.
1955 La Pomelo Ranch home is razed.
My home is on the edge of the Windermere Ranch and may have been part of the purchase of the La Pomelo Ranch
Mid-1955 After one year of growth under Mr. Halper and the La Mirada Development Co.; 7,800 homes were built, started or ready to start and 1,500 families were living in La Mirada.
1956 La Mirada Railroad Station was last used
