Cool deal then Nic. Did he say what all the Hospital has been? I've been talking to some of the locals of Lula and all they can seem to remember it as was a manufacturing plant of some kind. Any thoughts on this? Drove by it this past weekend too and saw where ya might be able to get in too. *L* But won't have to worry about that if the mayor gives ya the go ahead. Ya know? Anywho...cool.
I heard that it was a plant as well from a few people, but I spoke to a Baldwin Police officer about it and he said that the building was an asylum, but he didn't know much more than that. When I went into the basement, it is full of items such as beds and mattresses as well as other things that are consistent with an asylums needs. Awesome! Glad to have that cleared up. Do you know if baldwin has a library that I might be able to look anything up on that building? And do you have an address to go by? I was thinking to see if there was any kind of media paper on it. Know what I mean?
No, as far as I know Baldwin doesn't have a library...but the library in Cornelia might have info on the place. The owner of the building is the mayor of Cornelia...and he also owns Higgings realty as well. Thats turning out to be a pain, but I'm still working it. Ok people...bad news...the permission is a no go at this point. I am still working on it, but from what I understand the owner has had too many problems with people in the place and it has been completely boarded. He stated that he even completely boarded the staircase leading from the basement. I am still working on it, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.
