hello everyone. I apologize for posting a topic on the board without introducing myself. I am Leon Wilkes but everyone calls me Lee. I am 23 years old and I am from Milledgeville, GA. I am in the military and I am stationed at robins air force base. I am a military police man. I have always been interested in the paranormal I reckon from birth lol. I have a small group of my friends from base that goes on ghost hunting adventures with me on our off times. We have been to many small places like crybaby bridge in Columbus and several houses I know that is haunted. We have even been to the Hawkinsville hospital and let me tell you thats the most haunted place I have ever been to. Our next task is hopefully the Springer Opers House because I know we are ready for something bigger this time. But if anyone has any questions about the baldwin county hospital just ask me I have been in that place many times. its kind of an advantage living in baldwin county because I know all the security guards so I can get in whenever I want to. If we dont go to the Springer Opera House we will go to bonaventure cemetary and several other places in savannah. I will let yall know how it goes.

Welcome to the group. Have you watched the documenteries on the Cry baby bridge here on the site. Ghostgeek did a great job on them. I am in Texas and don't know much about Georgia's ghosts. I just wanted to extend a welcome.

I have seen the pictures in the gallery of Baldwin Hospital. I was wondering what you knew about it, watcher. I would like to go there at night sometime and do some investigating. Would the local authorities have problems with a group going there at night? Also do you know anything of the history of the place?

LiquidHappy... I think there are two different Baldwin hospitals. I may be wrong but the one Nic put up on the site are from Baldwin City and then there is a Baldwin County perhaps? Not for sure though.

trust me this hospital is the one you always hear about. you can ride by there late at night and see people standing in the windows. see the thing about it is that is used to be the psychiatric hospital until they built a newe one. it has roughly about 15 old and abandoned buildings that has been there forever. if you have ever seen house on haunted hill and all the experiments they used to do well you can probably say that this is a real life house on haunted hill except it has multiple buildings instead of just one. I went in there with a friend of mine and we went into this one place called the green room. my friend upon entry to that room said that she was hearing voices inside her head and that she was being driven crazy. the hospital is called Central State Hospital.

So there is part of the hospital that still exists? I assume that since you had gone there you didn't receive any trouble from authorities. Did you go in the daytime or nighttime? Let me know some more details if you would, I am extremely interested and wouldn't mind making a trip there.

every time I have went it has been at night. I set up some video recorders in alot of the rooms but the green room is where I got most activity. I actually saw an apparation walking back and forth in front of the recorder. I didnt have any trouble from authorities because I know them. and every part of the old hospital still exists there is about 15 different buildings. it was friggin huge.

That sounds awesome, do you mind if I talk to you over AIM chat and get in touch with you personally? I would appreciate it if you could show us to the hospital and and help us with security. My AIM name is mwliquidhappy.

I think the hospitals you are refering to are Central State Hospital in Milledgeville which is Baldwin County. Part of the hospital is still open. The other hospital is Baldwin Hospital in North Georgia in the city of Baldwin. Just thought I would help to clarify. Very Happy

Hi Lee...my name is Kathy and my husband who also uses this account is Darrell. We are still rather new and enjoying the site very much and so, would like to welcome you to the group. And thank you for all your imput and info on the hospital. I do believe, by the way, that you can message from Yahoo and AIM or AOL. All you have to do is know the screenname, handle or whatever Yahoo calls it, exactly. I have instant messaged with Yahoo users before. Good luck with all. Kathy
