I have thoroughly read each of your articles and they were very well written and interesting!
I especially enjoyed the Trespassing article. You're thread that you posted on Hounds, really did spark a small fear in me. The last time I went trespassing- I mean- hunting, I really did feel a sort of..guilt. I don't want a fine and I don't want to make other researchers look bad. I am a recovering tresspasser. Maybe I should get a sponsor! LOL
You have a great writing style and you pick fascinating subjects to discuss.
I really enjoyed each article. Keep up you're writing. Its fabulous! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/haunted_hottie http://groups.myspace.com/elliscopp
Overall, I thought you wrote a very good article.
The only thing I might disagree with is the statement about no one being an expert in the paranormal.
I would consider someone an expert who stays current with ideas and theories regarding the paranormal, is a capable investigator, and has at least a little experience with the methods of scientific research.
While it's true that no one is really qualified to tell us what a spirit is or what happens to the soul after death (except for maybe an NDE survivor), there are definitely investigators who posses a high level of competency in researching the paranormal and assiting people who are experiencing its effects.
I do agree that a good investigator should expect to be paid. After all, a good investigator needs to be part scientist, part psychologist, and part counselor.
I don't think that the person paying should expect a report of scientific proof that what they are experiencing is 'real' or that the investigator will 'bust the ghost'. Phenomena happens when it wants to and nobody can guarantee results.
I think the investigator's primary function is data gathering and analysis, but a good one will provide the folks involved with some understanding of what they are experiencing and reassurance that they aren't going crazy. Understanding removes a great deal of fear and stress, which is definitely worth something. _________________ I'm the quiet neighbor with a big freezer

Your articles are very informative. I was on the edge of my seat in the one where your were taking about not getting to investigate that resturant and yall went to the cemetery. I was thinking you may just tresspass even if only with your toe. But it didn't happen! And I'm glad!!

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
Neither Ghost Hounds members, site subscribers, site moderators or founder and director Patrick Burns assume any liability for any bodily injury, loss of life, or loss / damage to personal or private property resulting either directly or indirectly from information found on this site.
