This is a question that is on my mind alot and would love to get some input . What if the Spirit World is actually around us all the time . Just molecules vibrating at a speed we cannot see or hear . (Kind of like a dog whistle .) If we pay close attention , we would be able to see and hear them . And sometimes they will put out a little extra energy if they want to be seen .If they are all around us it would be natural for our brains to block it out . Otherwise we'd go crazy hearing voices and trying to avoid walking into them .

HI I really agree it is said by other researchers there our many that we viberate at a different frequencies.
Yes the theory that were smoosed together in planes that our all around us on tops of us on us and under us. Picture a sandwich or oil and vingar in a jar. Each layer vibrates at a different frequency.
Wehn we die ew change our frequnces and now vibrate atthe frequency of the astral planes worlds between worlds.
We move on to a more postive planes of exitience hopefully.

hey Mae-Bea -

what you surmise is not too far off from what many of us believe to be an answer to ghosts and to the unseen spiritual world.

I personally believe there are spirits around me -if not all the time, then most of the time, everywhere I go. I just don't see them. and furthermore, there other beings also present which I encounter while living my life in which I sometimes see and even hear -angels and demons. these I have had both personal encounters with that I testify to their validity. I KNOW they are there.

there are some here who actually see the dead around us -they will testify to the same as I.

perhaps the reason we don't see all the spiritual activity is that within our limited minds we cannot focus on this realm -we are one dimensional on our sight -we see the now and those things which have physical mass. another reason we cant' see could be that we would not be able to handle all that is going on around us -it would be like a case of super-hyperactivity which would never diminish, night and day!

then we'd probably all go insane if we saw some of the unseen stuff around us!

maybe that is a gift to us from God -some things aren't meant for us to see or know at this time.

but we keep searching for the answers -that is why this community is important!

It would certainly explain why we can sometimes see them or hear them . If conditions are just right I think the worlds can mesh a little . When my husband became suddenly ill , he was in the old wing of our local hospital . He passed away there , but about an hour before he died , I saw two " nurses " out of the corner of my eye . My first thought was that nurses are wearing white again . Then of course they disappeared , I really think I was seeing nurses from another time . They were dressed in those white dresses they used to wear in the 30's and 40's with the white caps . It was actually very comforting . I think they were still around helping people who are dieing .

Chris , It is so nice to talk to people who "understand" . Usually I don't talk about this stuff , I just get weird looks .
I think you are right about the gift . The good book says we are given diverse gifts , some to discern spirits . Or something like that .
I find that I can go about my business until one of these spirits wants my attention . Then I see books fly off the shelf , toasters ding , TV's coming on . By then I had better pay attention ! I don't "see" so much as I feel . And it can be intense . Living in a community that is 300 years old and full of old houses , I have trouble finding a place to live that is comfortable for me .
Angels I would love to see . Demons , no thank you ! Do you ever worry about being harmed in any way ?

you've come to the right place! many of us have experienced things around us that we cannot explain, and you are right when you say it feels good to have someone to talk to that understands.

the activity in your home could be a number of things -all of them seem at this point to be paranormal in origin. you may be able to further define it (them) if you do some investigating. ie. recording, taking pics, asking direct questions of the entity, ect.

one thing to remember -DO NOT FEAR! you have power over whatever it is. remember that. and it could actually be a harmless but mischievious ghost trying to get you to notice it.

if you believe in angels then you are protected. you can call on that protection whenever you feel defeated. that's a gift from God, too.
I'm sure you know that their main purpose is to minister to people and to direct them to God. secondly, they protect.

but you don't have to fear the dead. now the living, that's another story -just turn on your local news....

let us know. could be really interesting to find out who's contacting you!

Luckily I have understood about the spirit world for a very long time . My brother died at 20 , I was 22 at the time . I spent the next 20+ years studying everything that I could find about the afterlife . I wanted him to be ok . So , because of all the research , I do not fear them . Actually they amuse me . One day the words " marriage bells " kept coming to me . It made no sense to me at all . One day , quite a bit later I was going throgh my old jewelry and found a pendant that my Grandmother had given me one Easter when I was very little . They did look like Wedding Bells . So , I do know my family is watching out for me too .
I understand there is supposed to be the spirit of a little girl on the third floor of this house . (There is someone else living up there right now .) I'm assuming that's who is trying to get my attention . When the tenant leaves in November , I'm going up to investigate . What I do now , when I'm home alone , is talk to them or her . I just wish I could hear them . I get feelings , but I'm never sure if that's my mind or words that I can't hear at a conscious level . It will be interesting to take a tape recorder and see if I can get some answers . I have a feeling I will .

you should tape or digital record. you stand a good chance of picking up something if they want to talk with you or give a message to you. for some unknown reason the recorders pick up little tidbits of messages undiscernable to the human ear. again, this might be the frequency thing.

you are usually never wrong on your inner intuition. I think that is another God-given gift that we know very little about. I believe the inner voice we sometimes hear are actually angels leading us into more of an understanding of this gift. you're right in trusting it over all else.

what is the known history of your house? you might want to find out as much about it as you can. this can help you to understand who might be there with you. I can imagine with a town over 300 years old there are some great (and even sordid) stories abounding.

perhaps you can invite the spirit of the girl to visit you - maybe openly calling her or even having things around that a little girl her age would like to pick up and touch -you know how children are.

your search should prove facinating -I would think there are a lot of things to find out there in Vermont!

I don't know much about this house except what the owner tells me . He uses the second and third floors in the winter . I'm on the ground floor . It's a large Victorian and it is on a map dated 1853 . So it's at least that old , probably older . It was a commercial dairy in the late 1800's . I was also told that this house has had more deaths than any other house in town . Farming accidents I would assume . I feel that there is a lot of " fatigue " here . I am planning to finiah checking out the out buildings ( I got some faint orbs in the chicken coop ).
About the little girl , I think she is lonely . She's woken up kids that are sleeping on the 3rd floor , and they claim to have seen her . Also heard her run up the stairs .
This town has more ghost stories . Everyone seems to have one . Most people want to keep them and others just ignore them .
Personally I don't think it's fair to keep them , especially if they are lost or want to go home . We'll see . I plan to take pictures in the backyard tonight . It feels very heavy out there . No one seems to be able to stay out there for long and it is a lovely back yard . Also very cold . And it's been very hot here .

Ectoplasm certainly is real. Although many will not acknowledge it without seeing for themselves. Many scientists have confirmed it though. If ectoplasm exists as a form of matter, then I concur with the World being surrounded by spiritual matter.....in fact I'd go so far as to say I'm certain of it.

i also believe that there is an unseen world that lives around us. Sometimes they interact with us and other times we don't. Some folks say there are different dimensions, others call them plains.

Things aren't always black and white there are gray areas, actually many shades of gray. Each shade could be a plain of sorts, some higher than the next. I don't want to get to deep into it because it touches on religion, which is a very delicate subject.

Bottom line I certainly believe that there is something out there that we can only see on ocassion.
