Theere were these three teen aged boys driving down a dark road on Jan. 21,1999. As they came around a bend in the road, there was a girl soaking wet and crying out for help. They stop and give her a ride to where her mother lives as she requested. One of the boys had give her his lettermans jacket to warm her and failed to get it when they took her home. The teens went back to the house they took the girl home to and the boy whos jacket he gave to the girl went to the door and knockked. The same woman who opened the door the night before opened the door then. The teen asked about the girl and for his jacket. The woman proceeded to tell hm that the girl they brought home the night before had been dead for 20 years and that she didn't have the jacket. She then told him to go to a certain grave yard and go to a tombstone under the biggest tree. The teens went there and when they arrived to the grave the jacket was draped over her tombstone still wet. It was not raining the night before but on the night she was killed in a car crash 20 years ago it was. Myth or ledgend? Just a spooky story an elderly woman told and thought it was rather interesting.

I have heard so many versions of that story over the last few years. It is a good campfire story, though. Sci-fi's Fact or Fiction did a review of it and said it was fiction.

I believe it is fiction because I have heard the story in several versions each one at a different cemetery.

Great Story Lola! Dance But I have also heard the same story retold a few times too. I guess every place has it's own versions of urban legends.
