Hi there, and thanks for your GhoStock registration!

We will have some type of registration table set up in the lobby, or possibly make arrangements with the hotel to give you your badges at the time you check in.

Okay folks, its been a while so ...back to Savannah we go and the story this time is of the Juliette Gordon Lowe home...(thanks to Best Read Guide for this story)
For generations, Savannah's Gordon family lived at the corner of Bull and Oglethorpe streets, in what is known today as the Juliette Gordon Low House. Juliette Low's fame has been spread by millions of Girl Scouts who honor her as their founder. Juliette's parents were Willie and Nellie Gordon, who lived a fairy-tale life together for 54 years, until Willie's death in 1912. Nellie died five years later, and it is at this point where the fairy tale seems to have resumed.
The Gordons were one of Savannah's golden couples of the 19th century. Mr. Gordon was third-generation Savannah aristocracy. Nellie Gordon was a northerner from one of Chicago's first families. She met her husband at Yale, running into him and crushing his felt hat. Oral histories and letters attest to their deep love.
Since Nellie's death in 1917, visitors and employees at the house have seen Nellie's ghost staring out the window. Some have told of hearing the faint melodies of a pianoforte, an instrument Nellie had played. Another tells of regularly seeing Nellie in her robe at the dining room table when he arrives in the morning.
On Feb. 22, 1917, Nellie's daughter-in-law Margaret sat in the bedroom adjoining Nellie's, which had been used by Willie. She was startled from her book by the appearance of Willie, who stepped through the door to Nellie's room into his own. Margaret noted his expression, "one of grave gladness." The general passed through the room and exited toward the stairs. A few moments later, her husband, Arthur, came from Nellie's room to tell Margaret of his mother's death.
The two proceeded down the stairs to the front foyer, where they met the family butler, whose face wore evidence of his grief. As they stopped to console him, the butler explained the cause of his tears. The general, after walking past Margaret, had come down the stairs, through the front hall, and passed through the door to the street. The butler said Willie looked happier than he could ever remember and suggested that the general had come to take Nellie with him. Nellie's children attest to her final expression, "the radiance of a bride, going to meet her bridegroom."
