Digging at graveyard = activity?

I noticed today that a near by graveyard has some digging going on directly beside it. The odd thing is, they are digging where local history has it the paupers field was, which included indian burials and slave burials. Now that whole area has been completely dug up. So what I'm wondering is if the spirits might be disturbed (even if nobody ever really was buried in the so-called paupers field I'd think it would disturbs the others to have their enviroment fiddled with). Does anybody want to investigate that graveyard with me? It seems like there's a good chance for some prime activity. There is a church beside it, or some sort of building, so we'd need to be discreet and not upset anybody living, although I'm not sure if that building is affiliated with the graveyard beyond its up keep.
Thoughts?

EDIT: The part that is all dug up is roped off and very obvious, so there isn't much danger of anybody getting hurt. The rest of the graveyard is kept up pretty well, so its safe 'sides for the usual hazard of tripping over tomb stones.

It is possible that the digging near the site has disturbed the peace. I know in some cemeteries, they usually have a large monument that states something like "in an area of 25 feet to the right of this monument by 25 feet rest the bodies of slaves and American Indians who died for their country" or some such thing. I had been so wanting to hunt that site at night, but being that it's very close to a highly travelled road, all plans to come back were immediately nixed.

When I did that particular cemetery, I did see something that kinda scared me. I saw two or three deer, at least one was a doe (D'oh! A Deer! A female deer!) Do deer ghost hunt?

The only major problem is that now that digging has commenced, the police may be highly patrolling that area to prevent someone from trying to steal a Bobcat. Add to the fact that since it is right up against a highly travelled road, it's going to be very difficult to be discreet about doing a hunt.

That's a great question . I think it does stir up activity . I was at the cemetary one day taking pictures . While I was there a funeral procession came in . I didn't know there was a burial that day . When I looked at the pictures , there were a lot more "things" in them than usual . I had the thought that they were all out to greet the newcomer .
Patrick , did you mean a photo of a ghost deer . That's interesting , I have a picture of a ghost bear .

Patrick-you know which one I'm talking about! It is near a highly traveled road, which is the only draw back. I'll scout it out when I get back from thanksgiving family stuff and see when would be the best time to go. The police might come by, but we're not doing anything illegal so whatever... just smile and be polite.
Also, I noticed last night that right near by boyfriend's house there is an old, run-down grave yard set off from the road he lives on. As soon as I spotted a gravestoneI kinda squeaked and pressed myself against the car window to get a good look. I think he thinks I'm nutso... lol. I'm gonna have to go check it out next time I'm over that way.
