I'm kinda new 'round here myself but I'll give ya just a bit of advise. There is a lot of good stuff on here for beginners and I know how it is when you first start investigationg 'cause we've all been there. You hear of a "haunted" location and you're quivering to get there and see something. I've been investigating for several years, now, and I've learned a few basic things. First; read everything you can and listen to folks who know what they're doing and those who have been around this thing for a while. Even though it may seem kind of a drag; some of this stuff could save you an injury, a trip to jail, or worse. Never investigate any location alone. You never know what might happen. Always, always, always have permission to be where ever you are. Written permission is best. Just because a place may seem as though it is open to the public; that may not be the case and could lead to a major league headache. Make sure that someone knows where you are and what time you expect to be finished. Lastly; hook up with a quality group and get involved in their activities. Look for one that has been around a while, has a good reputation, and you feel comfortable with. A good group will provide you with more than enough opportunities to investigate some really cool places that you, probably, would never get a chance at on your own. Most of all; be safe and have fun but take it seriously. Investigating can be an absolute blast or it can be completetly the opposite. It's all what you make of it.
Remember just because someone says it or its written down doesnt means its gospel, this is just one source always double or triple check events and activites on source. _________________ If your not behind our Troops, please feel free to stand infront of them.

Hi, there, newbie! I second GhostHunterDoc's post! If you haven't attended a meeting yet, please come to one. They are amazing, and you'll meet tons of people from all over the place, who'd probably love to either teach you or to go on an investigation with you.
Welcome, and happy hunting! _________________ Believe in yourself, have faith in whatever you truly believe, and the possiblities are limitless.

Ghost hunting is a potentially hazardous activity due to numerous environmental variables. Outdoor ghost hunts typically take place in dark areas such as cemeteries and old buildings which may contain unseen hazards that pose risk of bodily harm, damage to property or even death. We do not recommend anyone venture into an unfamiliar area without first surveying potential hazards during daylight hours.
Neither Ghost Hounds members, site subscribers, site moderators or founder and director Patrick Burns assume any liability for any bodily injury, loss of life, or loss / damage to personal or private property resulting either directly or indirectly from information found on this site.
